I see john09 doesn't have much friends here either. Maybe he just like the attention. Troubled clown personality that should be ignored in my opinion

John09 is such a mystery ! Here he was on 22nd October claiming that TClarke is on “ very thin margins “ , even though TClarke makes a profit , pays a dividend and the prospects are excellent ( data centres , new hospitals , “ smart “ buildings ) . On the other hand , he has recently made several upbeat comments in the ADVFN site about Superdry , even though it is loss-making ( year-end figures to 24th April state loss before tax was £ 36.7 million , loss per share was 44p ( against a current share price of £ 2.89 ) , and with a recent Berenberg report being tepid about prospects ) . John09 has recently been damning companies like XL Media , Volex and Reach ( with comments like “ the death drop commenceth “ about Reach ) . In fact John09 and I have just had a fantastic exchange in which I clearly demonstrated that his claims to have told everyone that Reach shares were recently at their peak and should be sold then was pure fantasy . The fact that his sole reply to my reasoned argument was that he “ couldn’t read such minestrone “ tells us all we need to know about him . He attacks shares which have already fallen ( just maybe they might then fall a little further ) , whilst he praises the prospects of shares which seem to be raising from lows ( perhaps because he has already loaded up on them and knows they won’t fall any further and he wants to push them higher ) . If it looks like a ramper , sounds like a ramper and smells like a ramper , then maybe it’s a ramper .

Think I counted 6 posts about me at the weekend Numpty

You’re conflating what is undoubtably a good tip with some views and opinions on a good entry price given the market

John09 stated here on 22/10 at 13.35 that TClarke has “ very thin margins “ , which is a statement which might discourage investors from buying or holding here , even though Small Company Share Watch ( SCSW ) , in its recent “ buy “ tip for TClarke , suggested that there are few competitors in this field and that TClarke was receiving more offers than it can handle in building data centres . John09 seems very prolific , and his comments on various ADVFN chat sites always seem negative , tending to suggest that investors should sell or not buy , even or especially when a share has dropped , which is the very time when one might consider actually buying . Other chat sites where I have come across his prolific and virtually invariably negative comments are for XL Média , Reach , and for Tremor . All of these companies are “ buy “ tips according to SCSW , and yet John09 appears to know better . Personally I prefer to believe information for which I gave paid in a tip sheet which has served me very well over many years . As they say , “ do your own research “ .

Raw material prices and shipping costs form quite a small element of the final cost of product or service offered to the client. In the industry that i operate in, raw material prices are up 100 percent. Shipping rates are up about 300 percent. Taking all these inflationary pressures into account, the price that I'm offering the final product to our customers at has only gone up 5 percent, and I'm able to operate at the same margins that i was before covid started.

Plus I think their lifecycle of a bid model helps mitigate material costs too because of the timings and sequencing of how they do things . Very thin margin tho

Reminds me a littl of SWG Scott Wilson group this in terms of prospects

Fair point John09, firms in this sector have come a cropper in the when they have wafer thin margins that cannot absorb pricing pressures. The question is whether the markets T Clarke are operating in are price sensitive. I would argue that their two key sectors going forward (data centres and NHS) are less price sensitive and value contractors more who can deliver mission critical contracts quickly and to a high standard, rather than quibbling on the last 5% on cost.

Back in investment land 👍

A company with such low single digit margins has serious risk when theres high inflation

Had a chance to catch up on the presentation last night - they're not the smoothest presenters, but who cares if there is substance behind it. They are clearly experts in what they do and some in-house fabrication gives it a competitive edge. It feels focussed, well-controlled and knows where it can best add value.

Whilst there may have a been a few glitches in the Powerpoint presentation I would always want Executives running the business how to deliver shareholder value than polished slide presentations. We could see some impressive growth in the next 3-5 years as they are building a solid reputation across all the sectors and the forward order book (Contracts Awarded) is very strong as investments post pandemic beginto accelerate

Very impressive presentation. If they are turning over 500m in 2023 on a margin of 3.2% these could easily double within the next 18 months or so. Significant upside to come from a company that only got 78 million market cap...

Having top sliced my holding I would look to add on any serious dip. I am sure I am not the only one, so there is probably a good support for this share on any drop not caused by some kind of negative news.

Around 140p looks an obvious strong support level, and coincidentally (before upgrades to earnings and prospects) was the bottom of my original price target range.

TClarke could do well if this happens. Politicians in Ireland thinking about pausing the development of more Data Centres. What would happen in that case?
Perhaps more Data Centre developers would consider switching to building in the UK instead? TClarke could be very well positioned to benefit.

How many of us here have heard of Samlesbury , a town in Lancashire ? Today’s Sunday Telegraph reports on pages 1 and 6 that the Defence Secretary , Ben Wallace , has “ unveiled plans for a £ 5 bn digital warfare centre “ in the town . The new National Cyber Force headquarters “ is expected to employ thousands of hackers and analysts by 2030 . Ben Wallace claimed “ we will be one of the very , very few nations in the world with that scale “ . The Telegraph reports that “ The agency , which will be jointly run by the Ministry of Defence and GCHQ , will develop the ability to attack critical national infrastructure , such as power stations , in “ hostile states “ which carry out similar assaults on Britain “ . Obviously this project has only just been announced , so there is no guarantee whatsoever that T Clarke might benefit . However , there are surely very few other companies in this country which could consider tendering for the immensely complex cabling systems for this complex . Furthermore , it’s obvious that a very high portion of the estimated £ 5 bn cost would be needed for the installation of wiring , not only for the electrical systems but also for the computer systems . Good luck all .
