Posted at 27/1/2015 19:45 by codhead1 Guys. Took a look at this one and a lot of things just do not add up.They mention Great Bear Petroleum in adjacent license ready to drill and if they strike then that would underpin their plans. Great Bear do not make good reading and in fact its all Alaska press that provide the info as I cannot find a Great Bear website. This new venture for Tpet is strangely similar to Morocco in that they have flooded the press with incredibly high chances of success to generate interest thus I suspect a pump and dump to get a fundraising ready should Great Bear actually strike since Tpet will need it. In effect the whole story hinges on Great Bear. Can any of you guys source more info on them? |
Posted at 07/1/2015 12:35 by induna123 Don't be a prat Kirk. TPET are miles away from finding anything yet. The land is unproven for starters. Also, it shale gas/oil so it's more costly than crude in Iraq and the price of oil has plummeted. They need to raise funds at some point too as they have no cash. Like I said, Great Bear next door will be an indicator if they've bought a bargain or been sold a pup.The price of Brent crude oil has fallen below $50 a barrel for the first time since May 2009. It fell more than a dollar to $49.92 a barrel in early trading on Wednesday before edging back above the $50 mark. Slowing global growth and increased supply of oil and gas have pushed prices sharply lower in recent weeks. The price of oil traded in the United States, known as West Texas Intermediate crude, has already fallen below $50. Many observers expect the price of oil to fall further as North American shale producers continue to supply increasing quantities of oil and gas, and the oil-producing group Opec resists calls for cuts in production to support prices. "With no sign that Opec will do anything about over-production, it seems likely that we could well see further declines towards $40 in the coming weeks," said CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson. |

Posted at 24/9/2014 08:41 by bad robot My fAVOURITE postilluminati1 27 May'14 - 10:17 - 3790 of 5218 1 0 Ignore bad robots = no brains = uneducated = childish Better listen to Belcortoi, LSE Excellent reputation... I think you will realise that they had a placing at 8.87p for $5m and then were approached again to raise further $4m, who ever took the placing wanted more in and that shows confidence to me ... Now TPET have: Market Cap of £25m (of which £13m is cash) £13m Cash 223m Shares in issue 200mbbl prospect to TPET at 20% CoS, Analyst use 60p a Barrel Pre-Spud which means TPET MC should be sat at around £120m according to that (53p a share), however if we use a very conservative way, 50% discount and take 30p a barrel (like TRP was when share price was 4.5p) TPET should be sat at around £60m MC share price of 26p, even using another 25% discount gives TPET an share price of 20p!! Or for example take TRP at 22.5p a barrel priced in for the 500mbbl prospect, using same valuation for TPET, gives TPET valuation of £44m MC or an share price equivalent to 20p a share |
Posted at 22/9/2014 06:56 by foxx999 Bonkers!!!Tangiers Petroleum (TPET.L, 2.38p) Speculative BuyTangiers Petroleum announced a proposal to raise US$1.2m through the issue of 200 million shares at US$0.006 per share. The proceeds are to be utilised towards working capital management and appraisal of new ventures. However, the proposal is contingent upon the approval of the shareholders. Next week, the company plans to unveil operational updates and future strategy, and resume the trading of its shares.Beaufort view: Tangiers' proposition of equity infusion is likely to provide substantial financial leverage to the company to explore new ventures and meet its current capital obligations. Despite the failure of the TAO -1 well earlier this year, we remain optimistic about the other permits in the world class Tarfaya Block prospect located in Morocco, adjacent to the proven petroleum system of Cap Juby Oil field. The share price has plunged 83% in the past one month and has now placed the company at attractive valuations. With the half yearly results to be released soon, the stage is set for a major rebound when the trading resumes in the coming week. In the light of these and the company's prospects in petroleum rich areas, we maintain a Speculative Buy rating. |
Posted at 01/8/2014 10:33 by whites123 "I predict that Monday's news will be a refinement of the initial Assaka news to confirm some hydrocarbons but not necessarily anything significant."I actually think the same and suspect it was requested (ASX) because of the vague RNS (Monday) yet the rather (overdone?) drop which resulted. I don't think it will be Oil shows (Be nice if it was). But moreso an RNS to say this is what the drill to date has told us and the prospects for a success at Trident has improved. That would create an upsurge in demand and share price. I cant imagine anyone really agrees that the resulting 50% drop in share price was justified when Assaka was never the main target. |
