rcturner2: Patience is the most valuable commodity an investor can possess. I have bought 7500 shares. The last set of interims were superb.
gabrielsant: Last year was really good despite at the end it suffered a fair amount of shortage, wich makes me think that we can do better this year. But personally I'm more focus on the demand, if there is and it'll be, all those problems will be solved in one way or another, regardless of a quarter or six months. As a Tandem investor if Halford is decreasing its commitment in bikes and had some issue with its vans etc.. I think it is better for us.
w13ken: Article in Cycling Industry News about cycling investment. "THE TANDEM GROUP Exchange: AIM Appealing to investors with a dividend yield of 1.54% the Tandem Group has had a rocket lit under it during the pandemic and is expanding its warehousing in a bid to accommodate its product portfolio, which in the cycling world is best known to hold the Dawes, Squish and Claud Butler labels, among others. Having bottomed on the early pandemic scare that impacted the markets as a whole, the share price rose from £1.15 to a peak of £6.75 in the space of a year thanks to a sell-out period for its bikes. While the distributor is now planning for a deeper stock in future and has set about adding 80,000 square foot in new space, for the time being it is cautious on near-term headwinds such as stock availability and rising costs. Like many other listed businesses in cycling, Tandem is diversified in its structure, offering everything from licensed products, through garden furniture and Golf goods. Arguably late to the electric bike party, Tandem’s Q1 e-bike revenue was up 112% this year and there appears to be plenty of scope for that growth to continue." hTTps://cyclingindustry.news/cycling-stock-market-investing/

gabrielsant: Is this Cenkos Securities plc collaboration a way to find investors and increase the market cap? From a quick glance on their website, I seem to understand that they helped companies to rise capital for their IPO. So at the end of the day this should help tandem to trade at a premium price. Am I right? Alford + 11% last month tnd - 11% becouse of concerns about... Concerns? Whait a minute :)
whittler100: Trouble is Tiger that so many investors hang on Paul's every word. One can either view such comments as a nuisance or on a drop, an opportunity to top up.
davidosh: Castleford and I have already made charity pledges and CT has set an £8.50 target for his donation to be made. Https://melloevents.com/charity-pledge/ You can choose any company and any charity or simply match another investor and their pledge. I am hoping to get to £100k for lots of smaller deserving charities mainly but all donations much appreciated. Lets hope the markets stay positive and investors are generous.
davidosh: amt says....For me it will have been an easy process of pressing a few buttons on a key board. I am not sure I will have earnt the profits though as its required very little effort on my part. You look at investing as if a trader pressing buttons. For me it is very long days of research, lots of site visits, time spent at hundreds of Agms, quality checking products and services and a not insignificant amount of capital that had to be hard earned before it could be invested. If I make a bad decision I can lose up to 100% of that capital invested. I see companies especially in the early stages that depend on me to keep them going and some may become world beaters but without investors they stay on a drawing board. Never forget investors are not just pressing buttons.....traders may do it that way but most genuine investors are playing a very important role and need to be respected
davidosh: amt....You must be joking or maybe you are related to Mervyn ! You stated.... A presentation at the AGM which should be filmed and put on the website. Of course I would expect a certain level of Corporate Governance but nothing like the level and expense required for a fully listed company. Perhaps filming the AGM presentation and if its not too costly an occasional interview on one of the many online sites might be a good idea. FACT....Tandem have never put on a presentation at the Agm and nothing has ever been filmed. About 11 years ago with Andrew Burgess building a stake they agreed to do a presentation in London. It was on the day of a tube and bus strike and only six shareholders made the journey so the directors used that as an excuse not to do any more. It was only me promoting it. I have offered free presentation opportunities but they have declined.....over 100 companies have attended my Mello investor dinners in Beckenham since 2005 and met with hundreds of investors.....not Tandem as they seem to think I have an agenda as a dedicated shareholder......work that one out !? Tandem are a listed company but they never ever meet with institutional investors in the City or via their broker. There is no broker research or forecasts and they are completely off the radar for most investors even though they pay a small dividend and are profitable. There is no publicity around results even if the company is doing well......the current interest in the company is all surrounding this corporate governance issue. When was the last time you were offered a presentation by the directors and you claim to have been a shareholder for two decades and that it has been a very successful investment? I would love to hear about your annualised return as nearly all investors in the company that I speak to have been frustrated by the poor return on their investment and up to March last year most were in negative territory. It is only in the past year that we have seen positive share price appreciation and you could argue that investors now see the seeds of change.
