andrbea: In the last year T2 Income Fund Ltd.'s share price has ranged from 2.00p to 87.00p.
aleman: Well, hi then! I have no inside knowledge or anything. Just bought a few as part of a spread of regular income. They intend to get a bit of growth from a few shares but mostly just want to distribute all the income from debt lent to tech stocks. They have been saying things are rosy for a while, and there is no need to lead the market up the garden path since there is little turnover of shares and the share price probably does not matter in the short term. If they keep acquiring loans paying 11%+ on an equity base which is being geared up towards 500%, the yield on initial capital will be very high, although it will take some time to invest it all, possibly a couple of years. Ultimately, 11% yield on original capital + maybe 5% margin on the other 500% gearing gives a yield on original capital of 36%. Sounds a bit daft doesn't it? It must be risky but the shares are responding in anticipation. If the market brings the yield back into line for other income products with a premium for the gearing risk, we could end up with a 7% yield which would have to be after a 5-fold appreciation in the price of the shares. Not what I was expecting when I invested, but rather interesting.
