06/7/2023 08:30 | This day of an age, investors only think short term. They have won loads of contacts recently, so obviously need more working capital. And this environment you not going to raise cash in single digits. | igoe104
06/7/2023 07:54 | Yes, but when you are working on big projects with an expanding order book, you need more cash resources to be able to fund the business. There will be some very lumpy payments that CTO would have to manage, in and out. This gives them the flexibility to manage that more easily. | simski99
06/7/2023 07:50 | Gross proceeds 10.6m, net proceeds 10.1m. So 500k for Cenkos who didn’t even underwrite it. | dr biotech
06/7/2023 07:47 | Simski. Not sure about taking on “ more expensive debt”. They had £7.5m net cash at the last results. | tiswas
06/7/2023 07:42 | And the largest shareholder is increasing their holding by more than 50% at a 14% discount, something is not right. | tiswas
06/7/2023 07:41 | Nice gift of 700k from all of us to Regent Gas then. How much was the broker paid to arrange these? Did a rubbish job if they needed to give such a big discount. Disappointing to say the least. | dr biotech
06/7/2023 07:39 | To get any fundraising done in this market is impressive. What was the alternative? Take on more expensive debt at a rising interest rate of 10%+?? This will allow the group to continue its growth, so all shareholders can benefit. Its a good move in my view. | simski99
06/7/2023 07:39 | Igoe - i do and their bigger shareholder hasjust made a quick paper profit of c £800000 | janeann
06/7/2023 07:33 | Sometimes in business you need to take one step backwards, so you can take two steps forward. You need to look at the bigger picture.. | igoe104
06/7/2023 07:33 | Not surprised it was oversubscribed at that price. | 18bt
06/7/2023 07:26 | Ig. Oh well 20% dilution and a 14% discount is fine then! | tiswas
06/7/2023 07:21 | Disgusted by this offer........no need for such a discount. always thought CTO was a decent and fair company. Clearly got that wrong. Stitched up and as its subject to shareholder approval no chance of PIs winning that vote. | janeann
06/7/2023 07:19 | Retail offer would only attract traders cashing in for a quick buck.. and retail shareholders would only sell their shares, so they could subscribe to the cheaper shares. | igoe104
06/7/2023 07:10 | WTF? 14% discount and no retail offer! Shocking. | tiswas
21/6/2023 11:45 | Agreed, a very impressive article. The amounts to be spent on data centres are incredible, and in addition there's vast amounts to be spent on health care plus the legislation to upgrade the energy saving credentials of commercial buildings to band E or better from April'23 and band B by 2030. The CEO says the "bidding pipeline is now over £1 billion" and CTO can handle turnover above £700m without any further spend on investment. | rivaldo
20/6/2023 10:37 | Very bullish, front page article on TClarke in the Momentum Investor Stockmarket Newsletter, which has just been published. It highlights the massive boom in data centre construction and how CTO is benefitting. It reckons "the shares have looked more enticing". A really positive interview with management! | simski99
20/6/2023 08:14 | Two more contract wins. | igoe104
17/6/2023 17:50 | Agreed. I added a few on Friday. | scottishfield
17/6/2023 09:52 | You just have to look at CTO contract awards over the last couple of months to see they are doing extremely well.. | igoe104
16/6/2023 11:52 | Hospital Project win. Also this. | igoe104
05/6/2023 20:41 | This company is well under the radar, not many have cottoned onto the link yet. News next month, which is bound to be positive. VLX is another with the link, to AI (cables etc) Some of these picks and shovels under the Radar will do extremely well... | igoe104
05/6/2023 19:59 | igoe104 With respect to your comments on AI, I concur. Recently the whole AI thing has become rather a bandwagon to jump on. But CTO has long since been identifying this (data centres that is) as a driver as per this on their website (posted 3 years ago). TBH I haven't been shouting about the AI link to CTO because I was hoping to buy more stock before people twigged and started loading up themselves. I guess the cat is no longer in the bag now! | thorpematt
05/6/2023 14:26 | Nice contract announcement with inchcape. Inchcape plc is a British multinational automotive distribution, retail and services business and the schemes range from Gas free facilities to the full integration of 80 showroom BMS systems nationwide to ensure Inchcape can monitor all energy consumption from one central head end. TClarke UK South | igoe104
05/6/2023 14:14 | With the explosion of AI, any companies that are in the Data centre business should do very nicely.. | igoe104 |
