21/3/2002 15:44 | Hays deal coming soon? | cat
17/3/2002 20:41 | Covered in Sunday Times Sharewatch: Hospital laundry company Synergy is poised to boost its business with NHS thanks to the planned £12m purchase of Hays Clinical Service. Already trading at 225p, up from 128p last summer, the group looks set to continue the healthy growth clip and looks shiny indeed. When you consider that it is estimated the Hays business could add 50m to its order book this purchase is not to be sniffed at. Synergy looks well placed to benefit from NHS outsourcing over the next few years. The government is commited additional funding to tackle the problem of hospital-acquired infections. 08/2/2002 09:01 | Any more news about talks with Hays?? | sasimini
31/1/2002 09:22 | NUMBER ONE sterile services provider! Today's announcement that SYR is in exclusive talks to buy Hays Clinical Services will put SYR in the number one slot for private provision of Sterile Services in the UK. If the deal goes thro' SYR will also aquire extensive logistics experience. With the current trend to outsource such activities in the NHS, things are looking very positive. | cat

27/1/2002 21:28 | Thanks VM for that salar - This adds an interesting twist to the recent controversy which surrounds the said report. I think this whole issue was the subject of the first National Decontamination Survey, the results of which were published at the tail end of last year and have been the feature of a Panorama program. Over at mention is made of enhanced spending in this area: Health Minister Lord Philip Hunt said: "We are determined to build on this momentum to raise standards of decontamination throughout the NHS. The Department of Health has announced that £200 million will be spent improving decontamination services by 2003. This will be invested in new equipment and facilities that will decontaminate surgical equipment to the highest standards." SYR are in poll position to reap the benefits of this expenditure. Good Luck BFN cymro | cymro
27/1/2002 09:24 | Found this comment on Synergy on growthcompany website - it may be subscribers only. Concerns the suppressed report on state of decontamination in NHS. Ends with following comment - has anyone any more info about the PPP mentioned? 'According to Steeves (CEO), details of a public/private partnership should emerge from the Department of Health in February or March. 'And Synergy Healthcare should be absolutely in the right place when it comes out'. | salar

14/1/2002 17:23 | I apologise if I have offended anyone with my earlier post, that was certainly not the intention. The Internet, and ADVFN is no exception, is abundant with extracts of copyrighted material. e.g. Yahoo's Daily Round-up of newspaper tips According to internet legal experts, publishing a sentence from copyrighted material e.g. a news story headline without permission may not be considered an infringement of copyright laws. Taking a piece of an article and putting it on a Web site would likely be considered 'fair use'. Much of what I have stated in my earlier post are facts e.g. results up 16% - facts do not enjoy copyright. saz, I can probably get a copy of your daily newspaper online - FREE - but hopefully that isn't going to upset you enough to stop you buying it! saz, I think you are taking the publication of material on the Internet far too seriously - as Cat puts it nicely 'lighten up' - get a life Happy Investing cymro | cymro

14/1/2002 14:13 | Hi cymro, People who do not subscribe to SCSW will do doubt appreciate you being kind enough to post the above copyright information on both ADVFN boards; after all why pay SCSW's subscription fee when you can get their recommendations for free? I wonder, however, if you have stopped to consider what your fellow SCSW subscibers think of your actions? If you are going to insist on broadcasting priviledged information do you not think it would be no more than a matter of common courtesy to have the decency to wait at least a few days so that those who have actually paid for this confidential information have a reasonable opportunity to act on it should they wish before it's released to all and sundry? I note from your earlier posts that you already hold stock in this company, and therefore wonder if your purpose in this copyright violation has anything to do with the propect of personal gain being more important to you than respecting the confidentiality due to your fellow subscribers to SCSW? Regards, sazulu. | sazulu
