I took a small position here today. This is a speculative stock but it has the hallmarks of a stock that did extremely well for me in 2017 - Zoo Digital.
1. SYM has been around for a number of years, always promising jam tomorrow. Investors see it's track record of false dawns and simply avoid it without looking further, creating an opportunity for others.
2. The market has been slow to react to the 27 October 2017 trading update (in ZOO's case it took 3 months for the share price to finally react to the trading update which was put out on 7 April 2017).
3. SYM operates in a trendy growth industry so could re-rate to extremely high multiples of PE.
4. Operational gearing. Profits will grow disproportionately to sales.

I understand where the detractors are coming from. Here is the main bear case around the technology

But I am satisfied with SYM's response to this

The rising trend of sales and profits indicates there is a growing appetite for SYM's products. As they're not a one trick pony and have a positive balance sheet, they won't be going bust any time soon, so they are less of a risk than other speculative stocks.

I'm expecting this stock to at least double in value through 2018.

hazl .. unfortunately this thread does have two or three detractors that are best ignored / filtered.
I said that I expected it to double this year & that is exactly what I believe will happen over the course of the year.

WHAT a pity you don't think of the other holders and posters on this thread instead of taking out your continual disappointment about brexit and our different stance,after all this time.
People do vote differently for their own reasons.
Perhaps you could show some respect to the holders here and take it up on the SHA thread?

specially with the promise of good results might see a build-up to that date.

You clearly haven't looked at their most RECENT update.
2005 indeed!

Again the graph mirrors their progress since the beginning of the year.

They have a lot to look forward to .

The financials show an improvement but the update reveals more to come.

I haven’t traded these for years (12 years to be precise) so you are way off.

I looked at them a few months ago (due to plastics being on everyone’s lips) and found they had made no or little progress in all that time.

Do the research, don’t attack the person. Pretty disappointing reaction really.
