25/2/2008 17:16 | It's called American business. | edmondj
25/2/2008 16:38 | Are we up the ying yang without a paddle and will my 24000 shares be confiscated by the yanks ! This is a disgrace | huggs2
25/2/2008 13:58 | Johny. Add them to the list then. | ride daice
25/2/2008 12:50 | If only the SPS board was as loyal!!!! | nicandy
25/2/2008 11:50 | One broker wrote to me to say its 'default position' is to accept if/when the offer is declared unconditional. I reckon Glu's motivation would be to sweep up as many holders as it can, than be left with a minority rump it would have to account for, so these repeat 'final acceptance dates' are a bit of a leg-over. | edmondj
25/2/2008 11:11 | 90% ? irrelevent. 75% is where everyone caves in. | hamsterwheel
25/2/2008 11:10 | Don't let them get to 90%. | drewz
25/2/2008 10:37 | ARM's inaction is indeed intriguing. | edmondj
25/2/2008 10:23 | Yes it is abc. | pickymicky
25/2/2008 09:55 | Is that a legal requirement? Just wondering why arm haven't delivered their legally binding irrevocables. | abc125
25/2/2008 09:37 | If any other company were looking at the books, there would have had to have been an announcement. | pickymicky
25/2/2008 09:23 | pm...the only thing I can think of as to why Arm have not yet given their irrevocables is that another company is looking at the books. It makes sense, for a bidder to go for the cheapest breakable which is Arm's at 11p whereas Gartmore's is breakable at 12p. Glu is trying to put them under time pressure, so that they have to either walk away or bid b4 they have properly completed due diligence. Is the onus on sps to say whether other bidders are interested? If they did make a statement, otther parties may show their hand. | abc125
25/2/2008 08:49 | Happier with PHRM, rocketing rather mere flying | hamsterwheel
25/2/2008 08:46 | Probably because ARM realise that the offer is far too low.Best of luck anyway but I would sell and buy MDX who are flying this morning and will be over £1 once the bidding starts. | figure6
25/2/2008 08:43 | figure6 - they need another 1% if ARM play ball. For some reason they haven't so far. Must be some reason why. | hamsterwheel
25/2/2008 08:42 | Hammy,SPS only need another 1% and have a week to get it.They extended last week and attracted an extra 3% so I reckon enough weak links will appear to stop this dragging on.After all its share holders future cash that is being delayed going into their bank accounts.(Theres also the risk of the bid failing and the share price falling but I don't see that as the likely outcome.....maybe GLU will try to get more shares by buying them in the open market,ie raise the bid to 9.95p,I would). | figure6
25/2/2008 08:38 | Surprised they've got so many shares. Looks like capitulation. Only possible recourse is if someone feels able to take legal action perhaps via FSA or similar. And I can't see that happening. So is KR giving away our company as a dowry to buy himself a nice new lucrative career in the US or is he a shrewd operator selling a poorly performing company with no real future? Based on the timing I learn towards the former but who can say. We'll never find out. | srsm
25/2/2008 08:34 | One thing is certain, ARM are being awkward for a reason. Glu won't get to 75% without them. Still some life in this one yet until ARM play ball. | hamsterwheel
25/2/2008 08:29 | 74% acceptances chaps, its time to give up and invest elsewhere. This farce is dragging on and tying your money up. | figure6
25/2/2008 08:28 | The question has to be why is ARM not giving the shares they promised. | paul mason
25/2/2008 08:25 | Yes, continue to wait | gophergold
25/2/2008 07:59 | So do we still just sit back and wait? | juliehaylett |
