So why have Miton Group plc bought 8.58% of the shares and why did Superglass only announce this today even though they knew Monday??

with a market cap of just £3mn Chadwick or Barnett's could take this out at a blink - both would have the capital to do so. But perhaps they are also a bit shocked by the trading update. Even big investors will feel stung by a 50% hit on their investment.

Some fairly large trades in the ? column today, especially the 300,000 after the bell. Anyone know if they're buys or sells?

I think the fight here has just started. We know that W & R Barnett recetly bought up to 22% and Michael Chadwick 11%. If they were thinking of making a bid I guess, if successful, they would oust the current BOD put themselves in their place. A crafty placing would dilute these two if they have share authorisation in place and save their jobs. However the other Insti's would have to go along with this. If a bid was forthcoming from Barnett or CHadwick, or both, then the Insti's might feel a bit different to a placing if the price was right. So placing or bid, lets see what happens.

Just a thought. If the management are concerned about being taken over by the Irish and fear for their jobs, perhaps a large placing without including those holders could be arranged to seriously dilute the Irish threat.

Company saved. Jobs and wages saved.

I think our Irish friends will be mopping up all these sells soon. They wouldn;t have bought their large stakes not knowing that state of the company books, yet this didn't put them off. This could get very interesting in the next couple of weeks if they make an opportunistic bid.

I'm pleased I took a very small profit a couple of weeks back, not with any knowledge of problems, but through a need for cash.

I really think this company is a star of the future once the finance is sorted.

If there is a dilutive placing at say 3p as suggested, then that would be a great entry point imo.

There are also the Irish investors to consider. Maybe today's news will bring on a low ball takeover attempt.

50 day sma about to cross the 200 day sma. bullish indicator imho. looking like Thursday or Friday if the price holds. The 200 is still slightly on a downward trend but it is levelling out on a slightly longer term. Interesting days and weeks ahead.
