27/2/2017 11:40 | shoggoth, "I have been saying that Bahar are in control of the mine and it was clear to me they were withholding payments without a good reason." Yes that was a good call. I still don't understand though, there must be a reason for withholding payments. Surely? Are Bahar saying they want all their investment back before sharing the profits? Or what? | blobby
27/2/2017 11:40 | What seems odd to me, especially with a man of Marcus's calibre, is that STI have missed out on so much else in the mining sector while awaiting this situation to resolve itself, or not. There have been so many mining opportunities in the last year which could have set this on a better path so that Bahar wouldn't have mattered so much. I talk about the lithium arena for a start. So it seems to me they have thought all along they will get something sorted and may be still do. In the meantime Marcus has to start building the company by other means. | soulsauce
27/2/2017 11:32 | @Laptop15 I guess they likely have around 1mil left but I am sure the all-knowing oracle that is Shoggoth could tell you to the penny. | romeike
27/2/2017 11:22 | Potential placees would need to be convinced that the TS and Goldstone stories are enough potential to justify that price, I guess. | luminoso
27/2/2017 11:20 | How much cash do you think stratex has left now guys?? | laptop15
27/2/2017 11:19 | Its a double edged sword, though, Gamesplayer. If they try to boost the share price with PR, it can look desperate and backfire. If they go now, its a cheap placing. The way this is handled will show us Marcus' real mettle and acumen. I hope he can steer this one through. | luminoso
27/2/2017 11:18 | 1.5p would not be sufficiently discounted. | greedfear
27/2/2017 11:14 | I don't think there's a placing on at the moment. Far more likely to be on the back of a sequence of positive interviews and an RNS. | gamesplayer
27/2/2017 11:14 | 1.5p would be respectable in the circumstances, if they pull it off now, King. | luminoso
27/2/2017 11:12 | I would only ever give credence to what the company put out there in the public domain, either by interview or rns. | luminoso
27/2/2017 11:11 | 200m at 1.5p any one?? | kingivor
27/2/2017 11:11 | sp action suggests to me that placing is on.,, all imo, | kingivor
27/2/2017 11:05 | STI failed to respond to my last 2 e-mails so I gave up | juju44
27/2/2017 11:03 | Yes, King, there are potential value boosters out there, none certain though. What is certain is that we have a producing mine, but a deadlock over its revenue being distributed. As Romeike said, without this Bahar fiasco, we would be seeing good share price growth on the back of what you have highlighted. Looking forward to hearing more from Marcus in an interview. | luminoso
27/2/2017 11:03 | Turkey is a signatory to the UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards 1958 (New York Convention) and as such arbitration can be used to enforce contractual obligations under international rules. | romeike
27/2/2017 11:01 | Well, with all this volume I think we are seeing some churn in the shareholder base. | gamesplayer
27/2/2017 10:58 | Also emailed Perry Ashworth for a reply as Claire still on maternity leave. Further I have emailed BRR Media to highlight today's news and question if they have a meeting planned with Stratex off the back of this or if they will now contact the company for a presentation to answer investors concerns. I will relay any correspondence but would also implore everyone else to do likewise and hopefully some of this ambiguity will be cleared up. | exbiz
27/2/2017 10:57 | lumin, TS may well deliver and head straight for a quick IPO, but it's very likely that by July goldstone will have a 1m oz jorc at Homase with 500,000 ozs measured and a plan to mine. | kingivor
27/2/2017 10:51 | The saddest thing is that without this needless issue from Bahar we'd likely have seen Stratex multibag today on the strength of those numbers and the increasing excitement around TS and Goldstone. We need to know from Marcus what the details of the conflict are and what his strategy is to resolve this so that people can decide whether to continue to back him or not. Any continued silence from now on will be perceived automatically as failure. | romeike
27/2/2017 10:49 | Charles, don't get into the old " detractors " argument, please. Several of your posts over the last few months of STI silence could have been described as 'detracting'. You were pretty frustrated and occasionally angry with Marcus about the silence. What is good about todays news ? To talk about detractors, in Observer's old style, is not worthy of you. I never accused you of detracting on the AAU board. I respected yours and soul's positions. Please try and respect mine here. By the way, I have not sold today but am giving it some consideration, as my posts probably show. I want more clarification from marcus before making a decision. | luminoso
27/2/2017 10:43 | luminoso the point is if ThaniStratex make a huge discovery as is their objective and is now looking quite possible judged by their recent drilling success, then the only exposure to that success is by investment in STI. I've emailed both Claire and the company today to ask for explanations and a BRR Media update and would suggest everyone else does the same if you really want to know the full story. I've also expressed my extreme disappointment at their recent refusal to communicate with shareholders. | exbiz
27/2/2017 10:40 | A lot of lth's here stuck i'm afraid, best option to those with deep pockets is to contact the company broker, Hannams and throw your hat in the ring for a slice of the placing. With any luck AA will subscribe to maintain their stake but no doubt they will want a decent discount given this news. Might aswell get the placing out of the way early and move on. those with substantial holdings really have no choice but to see this out and hope that Altintepe gets resolved. | kingivor |
