Just 2 weeks now until the Annual Results are due but that's if they keep to schedule which isn't a trait that you necessarily associate with Stratex. Delay would surely point to some big deal going on in the background.
One thing for sure admin costs should really be way down on previous years expenditure as they have done nothing at all for the last year, by that I mean no testing, no drilling, no project sales, no jv's to set up, less projects to administrate since vending projects into TS, no administration at Tembo since withdrawing from board, no work at Stratex West Africa and no exploration full stop. And so with all that in mind and money surely pouring into the Bahar/Stratex joint bank account (albeit that we don't know how much and can't access it)
2016 should have been a cracking financial year and one could expect to see that reflected in the accounts, NO EXCUSES !!

It is telling that Stratex will put out an RNS on some interesting but ultimately minor information about Goldstone, presumably at the behest of Emma Priestly, and yet the Thani Stratex news doesn't get a mention, presumably because David and Marcus are too busy down the club.

Can someone wake the old duffers up and tell them about the TSR results

I have spoken to a chap who is pretty close to the market about the lack of disclosure via RNS by Stratex regarding recent high grade gold discoveries and general operations of Thani Stratex in Egypt, he finds it very hard to understand.

He believed this recent news to be a material event for a company of Stratex's size who hold a stake in excess of 30%.

Stratex did RNS the Thani-Stratex 3rd party funding in March and April last year so why not the discovery and subsequent drill results?

Already one or two folks, who follow the company, have bought stock on the knowledge that Thani-Stratex have declared some outstanding grades, that in itself suggests this is price sensitive news.

Here are the relevant updates....

As someone pointed out, these grades are close to those of the Oksut discovery, at early stage, which was eventually sold for $23m, how can this not be material?

The Thani Stratex site looks good. Anbat in Egypt looks the company maker with some excellent grades / intersections coming through.
We own 30% of TSR!
With our stake in Altintepe we should be doing better than this.
Even the GRL dog might come good in time if Homase can be increased to 1 million oz and POG moves north of $1350.
Dalafin/ Tembo are write offs, Dalafin being the nadir of Bob's reign.

Pity our 200k buyer is on strike at the moment, for a week it all looked so promising.

Pity those grades have done nothing for the share price.

Bob never worked for STI , Bob worked for Bob and his cronies

The Thani Stratex grades really are remarkably good, near surface continuous grades at more than one location. Far better than anything from GRL, Dalafin, or Ariana for that matter.

Consultants generally earn more than their employed counterparts on a day rate basis. I would imagine Bob is on at least £500 a day plus expenses but not working every day. He would probably be acting as the company's 'competent person' required to sign off on resource updates etc. He might also be helping Marcus with corporate matters.I am in agreement with those who think big changes are about to take place which should be good for shareholders. I believe Bob was ousted because he wanted a nice gravy train paying salary and bonuses for him and his mates ad infinitum but nothing for shareholders. The major shareholders got fed up, wanted a return on their investment and wheeled in Marcus. The story will unfold pretty soon I guess and everything will become clear.

I know Bob is still working for us in a consultancy role but does anyone know if he is also working for either TS or GRL in a similar role too. It will be interesting to see how much we have lashed out again in consultancy fees again this year come EOY.

I agree some form of action seems plausible, but what will it mean for the SP?

I was informed that the new CEO located to the UK for this job, he clearly never upped roots from Australia to sit around all day at the members only clubs of Pall Mall.

When I spoke with him in November he said he had already had discussions with industry professionals and new investors even at a pretty early stage in his tenure.

I was told, more than once, the gold mine in Turkey is performing well and discussions with the JV partners are cordial, even to the point where Bahar (the partners) wanted Stratex to assist them with new opportunities in Turkey.

I can only conclude that there must be some serious deal in the wings, maybe a sale of Altintepe, or perhaps a sale of the entire company? They remain very very tight lipped + there have been no new board appointments to replace Bob Foster and Chris Hall.

It is all conjecture but surely there must be some reason for the radio silence. I would not rule out some form of major corporate action.

On reflection I am back in (215k buy). Those results are Oksut quality and they are not telling us about them? There has to be a combination of Thani and STI funded by Altintepe sale IMO.

It makes sense to combine Thani Stratex and STI.

STI has income with a useless exploration portfolio

Thani has a good exploration portfolio and no money

Even with Altintepe producing good income, Thani would have to keep going to market to raise cash to drill in such an expensive locale, hence the need for a listing.

I must say it all does seem very odd, anyone would think they were suspended. There is either something very good or very bad coming here. Whatever it is STI are sailing close to the wind with the Aim rules I think.

Must say it's quite diabolical from STI that they can't be bothered to RNS these drilling results as they seem pretty decent and could have even lifted sentiment a little bit here.
