28/4/2014 09:15 | from 2012 accounts: Sales E50million + - what value that? "Irish Pride Bakeries Limited Irish Pride Bakeries Ltd ("Irish Pride") manufactures a range of high-quality products. The business has operated in an increasingly competitive domestic retail environment over recent years. This was reflected in 2012 performance, where sales fell 6.2% to 52.9 million (2011: 56.4 million). Management continue to improve the cost base to adjust to changing market conditions. While Irish Pride has been impacted by the recent declines in consumer spending, significant value remains in the business. As well as representing a well-known consumer brand, the business has a national distribution infrastructure and well invested production facilities. Irish Pride remains well positioned to defend its leading market position. Other Assets and" | gelp
28/4/2014 09:02 | 8th Apr 2014 One51 sells Irish Pride Bakeries One Fifty One plc ("One51") has completed the disposal of Irish Pride Bakeries to WHW Bakeries, an entity controlled by Garret and William Lloyd. The disposal marks the successful completion of the two-year action plan outlined to shareholders at the 2011 AGM, designed to rationalise the portfolio, pay down debt and bring new focus to future development. Alan Walsh, the chief executive of One51, said: "I am happy we have sold Irish Pride to a company which I am confident is well placed to develop Irish Pride's bakery business and brand. This sale will allow One51 to focus on the growth of its core plastics and environmental-servic Irish Pride Bakeries is one of Ireland's leading manufacturers of branded and own-label bread products which it sells nationwide to a wide range of customers. Operating since 1989 with bakeries in counties Wexford and Mayo, the company makes 15,500 deliveries of wrapped bread and soft rolls to retailers across Ireland every week. ends. | gelp
28/4/2014 08:53 | Should provide some funds for a potential purchase...http://ww | jmf69
27/4/2014 19:11 | Hopefully we'll get a decision this week and won't get another extension. If they wanted more time they should have asked for a longer extension last week | jmf69
27/4/2014 17:11 | Looks like an offer is on the cards! If not I don't think we would have had a further extension. My guess would be north of £1 would be required, if we assume eps of 10p within a year or two it would be a PE of 10 a bargain for one51. Would not be surprised of further extension while JS negotiates the best deal (hopefully cash offer over £1). | yorkie investor
26/4/2014 20:11 | I'm guessing more towards the end of the week | jmf69
26/4/2014 19:46 | Anyone expecting to hear news on monday ? | jeanesy2
25/4/2014 14:36 | It has all gone very quiet here this pm ! | jeanesy2
25/4/2014 10:42 | Some nibbling at the shares today. Some must agree that a bid is going to happen.More buying this pm hopefully will be a good indication of that or are people just having a punt? I agree that we should win whether a bid happens or not in the long term. | jeanesy2
25/4/2014 08:20 | Yes Should be well above NAV. 100 - any more The longer the delay the more chance of other player (s) to enter/auction. But no sign seller wants to sell! The article in The Irish Examiner 23rgd April by Geoff Percival indicates EXPECTATION of a deal from One 51 base. From last paragraph 'since start of year One 51 plc has agreed E75 million bank facility. The t/o of STT will make O 51 the clear leader in recycling bin sector in GB' You bet! (and more) STT results statement with benefit of 3 months trading indicates continued optimism going forward in any event. As a small cap STT is presently below radar of big investment funds. 100 million sales is often the bar. That may account for small trades. Possible a case of heads we win and tails we win anyway? | gelp
25/4/2014 07:06 | The NAV is about 70p per share so I would expect any bid to be above that | jmf69
25/4/2014 06:58 | It does sound very much like that one51 are going to make a bid . It all depends at what price and whether it will be acceptable. I am surprised that the price has not moved up in anticipation though. Perhaps they are not going to bid much more than the current price ? Perhaps there will be more reaction to todays RNS as it does seem a bid is going to be made , unless i am reading more into it than i should? | jeanesy2 |
