From today's AGM statement:

'The Board reaffirms its intention to maintain the increased level of quarterly dividend payments to reflect the cash generation of the Group. The Board expects to pay a dividend of 4.5p per quarter, starting from 7 July 2017, representing an annualised dividend of 18p.'

bluemango, those dates are correct for the annual review, but Stobart entered the FTSE 250 today as a result of HGG being delisted. If you check you'll find STOB is now trading in sector 25FS - i.e. the FTSE 250.

Roger Aitken (Forbes contributor) is a bit behind the curve!

"... a decision which will be made based on the market capitalization of companies at close of trading on Tuesday 30 May and be communicated after on Wednesday.

The changes themselves are effective after market close on Friday 16 June, for inclusion from the start of trading on 19 June."

"According to indicative positions communicated by the LSE last Thursday, FTSE Small Cap companies or new entrants eligible for potential entry into the FTSE 250 Index include FDM Group Holdings; Melrose Industries; Sirius Minerals, Pershing Square Holdings (new entrant), Stobart Group (new entrant) and TBC Bank."

OK, I thought the change over took place on the 19th, however I'm no expert on these matters. I also hold shares in SXX which is also entering the FTSE 250 and all the talk on that BB (LSE)is about 19th June. Whenever it is, I would think it will add some impetus to the share price as tracker funds buy in. I've doubled up on STOB recently, my portfolio is spread between STOB & GVC (for the dividends) and SXX for growth.

No, but they will be in the FTSE 250 when the market next opens. They were top of the reserve list when it came to replace Henderson Group. Usually there's a lot more volume in the closing auction prior to entry, typically up to 1% of the shares in issue, as I expect we'll see on 19 June for stocks in the annual review.

Here

I am surprised there wasn't much volume in the closing auction yesterday. That's very unusual for index changes. I wonder if the market missed this one, or missed the fact that Monday is closed.

I bought in recently, strong assets, enough savvy management and I like the idea of developing Southend airport, if you live to the east of London it could become a Luton at least
