Acquisition of Freehold Retail Property
Stewart & Wight plc ("the company") contracted to purchase the freehold retail property 75 Linthorpe Road Middlesbrough on 24 March 2017. The purchase price is GBP620,000 and will be paid for out of existing funds.
The property is let to HK Foods Limited on a ten year lease from 2 September 2016 at a current rent of GBP45,000 per annum with an upward only rent review on 2 September 2021. The property is let on a full repairing and insuring lease.
The Board of Stewart & Wight considers that this acquisition will be a valuable addition to its property portfolio.
