27/9/2006 10:55 | Will take a day or two for people to digest then this will be viewed as a great buy in my opinion. | southcoastpound
27/9/2006 10:08 | Yes, sound info SCP, can't quite get a handle on the value yet as it depends upon the cross selling of products. Its a biggy 30% increase in issued shares. One that you would like to think thay have got right! I like the fact that directors and management are taking 5% of the placing. Without values attached a 75% increase in clients - 440 client base is difficult to evaluate but it will provide greatly improved opportunities. Might get a reaction from the 10am analysts meet, but it usually takes a few days to find out how well the deal has gone down. Good Luck GS | green sand
27/9/2006 09:32 | As I said. Price not reacted too favourably but this will be heading north shortly. | southcoastpound
27/9/2006 07:50 | Today's acquisition announcement looks positive, coupled with an update which says current trading is on track. This also will account for the flabby trading and price action over the last few weeks as the Placing has been negotiated. | networker
26/9/2006 14:50 | SCP, I shall take your comment at face value and look forward to the morning. However I am concerned that a one-line statement without explanation could be misconstrued? Good Luck GS | green sand
26/9/2006 14:41 | News in the morning folks. Another aquisition. All pile in now. Early start. | southcoastpound
29/8/2006 09:03 | Strongly tipped by Midas yesterday | teasle
29/8/2006 08:50 | Reported to be in Mail on Sunday, can't find anything on their site but the following couple of lines in a tips round up. "MAIL ON SUNDAY Software firm StatPro is a buy at 87.5p for investors willing to take a bit of a risk as its growth potential looks undervalued. The company makes software for asset managers and has so far succeeded in its challenge to turn one-off customers into long-term clients." We will see where it ends up at present looks like a typical tip move with the MMs taking it in turn to walk it up. | green sand
29/8/2006 08:44 | Figured we were tipped somewhere. | wjccghcc
29/8/2006 08:30 | Written-up in one of the weekend papers. Early morning support apparent, but will it follow through and stay in new high territory above 90p? | networker
10/8/2006 21:21 | SOG trying to break-out from previous trading band. Following on from the weekend FT write up looks as though it will succeed, even though a little profit taking has been seen today. May yet retrace to find support at 85p level but fundamentals suggest this share will continue to make progress over the medium term. My target remains 100p. | networker
08/8/2006 10:30 | Level 2 has firmed up to 4 v 1. Could be a few more points to come. | green sand
07/8/2006 20:45 | nice to see sog getting some attention after all these years. it's in a nice niche and has plenty of growth potential. management has always delivered but share price suffered from floating during tech boom. i hold a v few i bought in the twenties, having had to gradually sell the rest to meet bills. but nice to be proved right, even if only mainly for the ego! | rambutan2
07/8/2006 18:06 | Tipped a couple of times. | badday
07/8/2006 18:03 | Has definately got me thinking - | karasy5
07/8/2006 17:35 | NICE jump upwards today, long may it coninue. Plenty of buys compared to sells today. Strange trading, only 5k traded for the whole of thursday then some action today...was it in any share mags at the wknd? When does the dividend get paid out?? | rossgr2
04/8/2006 08:05 | Good Morning? | green sand
03/8/2006 13:06 | Invaluable? | green sand
01/8/2006 08:24 | Morning WJ, if it is not too rude a question how did you get hold of the Arbuthnot upgrade? | green sand
01/8/2006 08:21 | Small upgrade from Arbuthnot to 6.0p EPS this year (from 5.8p). Puts them on a PE of 14 dropping to 11.5 next year. | wjccghcc
01/8/2006 08:05 | WJ & smiler1, thanks for clarification | green sand
31/7/2006 15:38 | Under IFRS, goodwill is not required to be amortised unless it requires to be written down due to future revenues not warranting the carrying cost. From looking at the report, it would seem that £966k of r&d investment has been capitalised and £793k of amortisation of R&D charged through the P&L. | smiler1 |
