Whilst on the phone to Shane (Alfie Moon in Eastenders) last Thursday night he was out dining with a four of his fellow cast members . Anyway , me being the good company/good value for money sort of chap I am ; one of that cast (the girl that's just come over from France , Mickey's sister?) wanted to have a chat with me .

Suffice to say she was soon smitten and I'm hoping to meet up with her this weekend , I'm already in London with a handful of (Z list) chums anyway so I'll probably make an excuse and disappear for a couple of hours .


I'll report back , wish me luck eh !

Qinetiq plans to expand space arm

Qinetiq, the defence group preparing for a £1.1bn stock market flotation, is expected to announce the acquisition of a Belgian satellite-maker on as it embarks on a plan to quadruple the size of its European space business.

The company, which was spun out of the advanced research laboratory at the Ministry of Defence, wants to create a second-tier rival to Europe's two biggest space companies, Alcatel Alenia and EADS Astrium.

...and, on reflection, I feel it's my duty to claim post 250. Some might say I'm doing it to vaguely irritate scuba, but not so. I feel, after nearly 2 years getting here, the 250th post should be celebrated slightly more than usual and therefore should be claimed ruthlessly (I'm sure you'd agree, scubes, and congratulations, you & Shane were the inspiration that got us here).

Its about time I wheeled out the ace up my sleeve.

My best mate, from the age of 8 to 20, was none other than the legend of the airways, Mr Pat Sharp ooo ooo.

Oh yes.

We shared at least half a dozen holidays together, went out on the pull together, and generally did what the youth of the day did.

he may look sweet and innocent, but I don't think I'm giving too much away in saying that he was a crack shot with eggs at passers-by in North London many years ago.

scubes (if I may refer to you as scubes today), I totally understand your position. I mean, why give these stories away for free when you've got a gauranteed nest egg if you keep stum on here and phone in your tales of naughtiness to 'The Sun'.

I'm not too sure how he'd feel with me blabbing about his old days on a free BB. There's also the added worry of newspaper coverage (aye , that's right ... fleet street keep a watchful eye on this thread)
