Lol!
If we don't get something more than the 'in line with expectations' tomorrow I expect a protest at the AGM.

I don't mean rotten tomatoes being thrown at the board but a protest by the board as they handcuff themselves to a radiator in an desperate attempt to cling on to their cushy jobs.

one can just see that lazy FD waking up this afternoon and asking some one to sharpen her pencil so that it's ready for making a couple of changes to the dates on last years results

What? with paisley ties and mop tops?
Ah the halcyon days of the 60's.

Now,trying to sell biodegradable products then would have been difficult,I'll give you that.

19 mill traded so far today...

that 'no reason for the fall' RNS could seriously* bite them on the antline, if not true

but, if they are 'growing', then why aren't we back in the 60's?

The FD was brought in specially for her experience in acquisitions, that is why the last one was paid off,to make way for her.

Since then she hasn't even produced forecasts so we can only presume she has been working on an acquisition.PM told me about 6 months ago that about 60% of his time was devoted to progressing the acquisition as it was vital to SEO's future.

I queried whether that was effective use of his time as I would have expected him to be dealing with trying to close deals and promoting the company instead of giving up on SEO and looking for something else to buy.

I would expect some update on the acquisition tomorrow but wouldn't put it past them to ignore it completely.

That 'we know no reason' may very well comeback and haunt them.

heeley

That post makes a lot more sense than anything we will get tomorrow.
This is the last set of results to include the whole shebang. The IMS a couple of weeks later will be just stanelco.

I'd agree with you that something has gone wrong.............................................we've had an incompetent board steering us onto the rocks for 3 years whilst ignoring basic disciplines of business and all having a great jolly at shareholders expense.

I expect we will get the usual 'honest, the futures looking bright and we will communicate a lot more but we need some money 'cos all the rest has disappeared somehow' patter before they slope off into the darkness and chuckle to themselves once again.

heeley, fair points

as such why not do a mystic meg for the top of the board?

I dunno heeley, is my honest answer

maybe it is from next year, as they said this last year

Group revenues grew strongly during the nine months to 30 September 2009 and the
Group's overall trading performance was in line with the Board's expectations.

Group revenues increased from GBP12.0m to GBP13.4m in the nine months to 30
September 2009, an increase of 12% compared with the same period last year. This
reflected a 29% increase in bioplastic sales made directly by the Company, a 30%
increase in sales in RF Applications division and an 8% increase in third party
sales from our joint venture, Biotec.

Am I wrong here?

Now that the golden share has expired, SEO cannot integrate Biotec sales into their turnover, they can only claim their share of any profits from Biotec.

If so, I am expecting headline turnover to be rather lower than the forecasts being bandied around....or is that for the next set of figures.

Either way the cash must be nearly gone - and it is hard to see an aquisition being mentioned - it would be too much of a coincidence on timing. If it was happening now (I think very unlikely) it is still very much a post date event and the results for last year should still be published.
Arguing that a minor decision by a court in Paris is going to affect anything to do with last years accounts is tosh.

I suspect (and the weak share price agrees) that something more serious has happened and any excuse for a delay is gratefully taken so there may be time to suddenly create forward looking good news again (more jam tomorrow!).

Well I certainly won't be putting my hand in my pocket to let them have more time trying to get their act together. They've had 3 years and crashed the share price in that time.

Had they had the decency to communicate with shareholders [I'm not talking about the annual 'we can achieve good things and promise to communicate more' every April at the AGM] they would have stood a chance of being supported,as it is I think they areon a hiding to nothing.

Looks as though they will have to dust off the 'we know no reason' RNS again.

The one from December will be coming under some intense scrutiny if it turns out they did know a reason.

It is a safe bet,and I would think quite true, that Geoff Boycott's granny could run the company better than PM.

The best quote I heard about GB was Michael Vaughan on the radio commenting on one of GB's harsh summaries of a player 'Geoff boycott is an absolutely fantastic cricketer....................and he wasn't bad when he was playing either.'

Well now it is only 18 trading days before we can stand before them, look them in the eyes and ask why they have been so cavalier with shareholders money and so,so poor at achieving anything.

One day before figures and the sorry share price can't even lift itself off .32p
