SSE PLC (SSE.LN) and Innogy SE (IGY.XE) said Monday that they have appointed Gordon Boyd as the chief financial officer of their new U.K. retail-energy joint venture.
In November 2017, Innogy agreed to merge its U.K. retail business, Npower, with SSE's business for household energy services to form an independent retail-energy company.
The energy companies said Mr. Boyd has significant experience in the energy sector and will take up his role on July 4, when he will start work on the joint venture's planned listing.
Mr. Boyd is the second appointment to the new company's board, after Katie Bickerstaffe was named designate CEO in April.
