Canaccord Genuity has maintained its "buy" recommendation on SQS Software Quality Systems (SQS) with a 12% increase in target price to 291p. This reiteration comes after an "upbeat" trading update last week, where several new contract wins were announced and good progress revealed in the US and Japan. The broker is also impressed with the reduction in net debt on the company's books following strong cash generation in recent times and backs the firm to continue with this promising trend. The shares remained flat at 225.5p.

Just come across this one, looks an interesting prospect and is now on my watchlist. Market cap of around £63m and forecast profits for year end '12 of £8.2m (using my euro to £ conversion estimate) which looks positive. Pretty quiet board this as well, which I think is good. The vibe appears pretty upbeat among regular posters.

Possibly as they are the "largest independent in the world". I am however, quite happy to watch them grow:I think they are just at the acceleration point and also better margins ahead.

Agree, very exciting stuff. The Siemens relationship looks particularly promising and now a foothold in the US, with Japan the cherry on the cake.

Eps forecast to grow 50%+ in 2012 followed by 30% in 2013. Currently on measly p/e based on these. There is a seller about IMO - when it clears we'll get an almightly re-rating. Nice yield too. dyor

They don't actually say anything in the update about profitability though, do they. Lots of mention of new contracts, and debt reduced, but I would have preferred to hear about whether they were going to meet expectations. Agree the overall tone was positive though.

450k worth of buys yesterday. 2 x 225 which suggests an institution. Still some small seller(s)around, 25k,33k. Optimistic. If only all my holdings produced results like this !!

All round sparkling results. Better revenue, margins, market share, business outlook and the cherry on the cake for me is the positive noises on the US which has historically been a non-market and of course means that there are further potential massive building blocks ahead.

Looks like a matched trade to me - buy and a sell with mm taking a commission for deal instead of the spread.

From the slight positive reaction I guess it's either the clearing of a potential overhang or someone who's been looking to buy in size for a while, found a buyer but may be in the market for more.

A couple of % rise is just noise really though - could be people taking a position expecting positive progress to be reported in next week's interims as sidam points out.

There should be news shortly. The interims are out next week on 6th and management are on a roadshow in UK in following week. Followed by an analyst's site visit to the testing facility in Goerlitz in late September.

So plenty of noise. In my view the key in the interims is the amount of progress towards the 2104 target of margins of 10%. With some growth, revenues could get to euro 275m by then (6.5% this year followed by 2 years at 16% the historic organic (ex acquisition)rate) which could equate with EPS in mid 50s in UK pence.

If it gets to the target, revenue growth (core growth) will have been significant and one could guess at a PER of 10. That is equivalent to a share price increase of more than a double in 2 1/2 years.

That is why I am a holder.
