Hi watch.

I don't day trade on a regular basis, but have a dabble, I've been traded CHAR over the last few weeks 4 times since their last spike up, shorted it down 17, down another another 12, after a retace reverse cog up 13 and at the moment now short again.
I'm not tading in heavy amounts just a bit of fun trading, but hey it helps and not enought to lose sleep over, but the trades I've made there, has been based more on gut feeling, rather than reading L2 correctly. betting against the short strong swing, also a little TA and based on the high volume if you get my drift, also with the belief of my conviction it's been over bought and over hyped...;-)

Hi Jab.

Tbo if you are not day trading stocks then you dont really need L2 unless
you want to make sure you are saving a few pounds by getting the best price
by timing your purchase point better.

In this stock the L2 is just a guide, it's volatile and there's no way of
knowing which orders will be filled next.

I was offline all afternoon so what has caught my eye today is the closing
volume, it was swelled by a 500k trade at 29.5p, i'd guess a buy but either
way it's good for the total closing volume.

I would not get too excited just yet Jab.

Sometime on Sets L2 the seller can just be late or have a lie in hence they
can start brightly then drift back when the seller starts placing their orders.

The buy orders (no disrespect) are just piddly amounts but if you want to buy
today then try and place an order at 29.25p rather than pay 29.6p+, you should
get filled.

8T, morning are you about ?

Had a quick peek at L2 the mm's have marked up the price at open, now would I be thinking that the mm's have done this to encourage selling, as l2 looks slightly bullish.

Must learn to read L2 abit better, hope you can help, as you seem to be a genuine nice chap.

thanks jab

hi watchout,
what do you mean by SETS system?Stock Electronic Trading Service?

Low volume day hence the small drop.

A few more 40k buys like that one just now will help.

Still think people can save a few pounds placing buy orders
at 29p bid, think they will get filled today.

Dont torture yourself trying to work out how the SETS system works qip.

Remember there is a seller so despite almost 100% ordinary buys today
the price did not move, this will continue until they clear but it will
be worth waiting for.

Just for the record the late 29.5p AT trades you mention, the small ones
are "sales", the bid prices AT trades are buys and the AT offer trades
are sales.

It used to confuse me a lot when i first started trading all those years ago.

Dont seem to be a in a rush to show the worked sale for all the buys each
day either "VW" trade to anybody else that dont know.

there is sth I could not explain:

15:11 29.50p 220 £65 Buy AT
15:11 29.50p 410 £121 Buy AT
15:11 29.50p 410 £121 Buy AT
15:09 29.49p 50,000 £14,744 Buy O
14:53 29.43p 4,091 £1,204 Buy O
14:46 29.49p 2,540 £749 Buy O
14:07 29.50p 620 £183 Buy AT
13:59 29.50p 2,310 £681 Buy AT
13:59 29.50p 2,350 £693 Buy AT
13:43 29.72p 3,300 £981 Buy O
13:13 29.68p 4,212 £1,250 Buy O
12:42 29.68p 10,000 £2,968 Buy O

after 13:43 transaction, most trades are buy, but the price went down, any idea of what happened behind this? (have checked plus market, no transaction around that time

Relentless buying but a brick wall seller.

It will come good qip, look at all those 50k buys today, just shows
how many people think this cheap, some disposal news will kick start
the recovery.

watchout, It looks like that 50k chunks are still being bought, with O trades so perhaps, a shockbroker is filling a big order, maybe.

Qip.

This is a SETS/MM stock, not just a market maker stock.

People can place orders at any price they wish and hope they will get filled,
see all those people buying at 29.5p, well you could instead place an order
at 29.25p bid and hope you get filled and save .25p, if you do it will show
as a AT trade and this is the L2, orders are constantly being placed, removed
and occasionly getting filled hence L2 is sometimes good then bad.

The seller is placing orders at 29.5p in small amounts as not to discourage
buying and help them clear it, if you saw say 1 million share sell order at
29.5p then L2 buyers will be put off, instead they place say 25k orders and
when they get filled they replace it with another until they run out of stock,
when they run out this goes to 35p in no time, big question is how many do
they have ?

Hi Jab.

Nothing to read here, big seller, big volume, seller not cleared, price
will bounce about this level then bang it will break 30p, when is anybodys
guess, L2 can look good then bad then good in seconds when AT trades are
flying in here.

Much better L2 now and more great buying volume, include me in that adding
another 13k, just looks ripe to break back above 30p today.
