21/2/2018 13:10 | FT Alphaville earlier: Spire Healthcare Group PLC (SPI:LSE): Last: 240.00, up 7 (+3.00%), High: 240.20, Low: 228.20, Volume: 343.48k 2:05 pm BE Spiked very suspiciously into the close last night and seems to be continuing the run this morning. 2:05 pm BE You'll remember that Mediclinic's locked out for another three months (save the usual whitewashes), having abandoned its offer in November. 2:06 pm BE Which seems to be leading the speculation towards the idea that Mediclinic might be a seller rather than a buyer. 2:07 pm BE Assuming there's a strategic buyer out there. One possibility has been noted on the right ..... 2:08 pm BE .......... as in HCA Healthcare, which is an idea that's going around. But we don't have any info right now so I'm just noting it here as market speculation. 2:09 pm BE Shares up 4% live. | clinton baptiste | |
