The final results stated they expect tru brand tobacco sales to commence in late 2018. Yesterday's news I imagine was an important piece of the jigsaw, though it'll be interesting to see when pen is put to paper on the first contract. Exciting times ahead hopefully.

more progress today with SPSC and at last beginning to play catch up with SPSY
and you still get the dividend
amazing no-one spotted the price difference with the class of shares
spread is vast and may put some people off
i think you can apply to convert to ordinary shares but stand to be corrected

I would not worry about coins and notes being a thing of the past too soon. This company has so many irons in the fire ...it is reducing R&D and staff cost ...improving sales and margins ...whats not too like?

Indeed it could be Someuwin. However, unless this is rolled out relatively quickly, they could lose any gain from that market as there is definitely a move afoot to do away with cash (banknotes and coin).

I see that one of their longer term aims is to get their TruNote(TM) authentication technology rolled out banknotes.

Thus enabling all buyers and sellers to authenticate banknotes with a simple smartphone app.

Imagine how huge that market could be!

Why buy at 100p when we announce a big contract when you can buy today at 72p?? This RNS has basically siad we are about to sign contract!!What more do you want!!Trubrand alone will have revenues of over 10m dollars with large margins!!

Forecasts for this year and next are pretty low and the broker note post results was littered with the word conservative. Got a similar message from Nabil during a conference call after results as well. Its been a case of under promise and over deliver over the last year and I expect that to continue for the foreseeable future at least.

Glad to see progress being made behind the scenes. If they can bag some of these contracts the upside will be huge. SPSY hasn't really caught the imagination of the retail punter yet but I expect that will change following next set of results given both turnover and profits will be up very sharply. Im expecting the company to announce trading is ahead of forecasts as well. Given limited liquidity in shares I can see the shares up at £1 later this year.

WH Ireland have described this news as "Highly Significant" and a "major Milestone", and rightly make the point that it is significant that this process of gaining approval has been driven by a potential customer.

Announcement this morning that TruBrand has received a regulatory approval in China for the use of its materials on cigarette packets, following an application by one of its potential customers. The seem confident this paves the way for other customers to apply and get the regulatory approval.
