I think it might be the only satisfactory for the year statement - the forecast isn't that great for 2015 so maybe we needed more than that which is in line at best in PR speak.

Certainly not a negative. Solid income going forward. Curious. Was the market expecting more ?

It's marked down 5% but I thought today's announcement was positive, despite minimums being less than previous spend, as that income is guaranteed and at higher prices.

The note concludes:

"We have yet to publish 2017 estimates, but we believe that the annualised benefit to EBIT will be significant.

Combined with the cash NAV of 18p, we derive our conservative SOTP value of 43p. With the shares well backed by a cash-strong balance sheet, we retain our Buy recommendation, and raise our target price increasing in line with our SOTP to 43p"

Definitely,Pat, as I said before, a few more contracts like the one announced last week and IMHO we'll be there.I still confidently expect the share price to go to several pounds because as the CEO tells everyone, Spectra have a annual US1bln a year market all to themselves-they have no competition and their market cap is what, £14mln. Its high time most Investors started thinking for themselves.

It's also harder for management to disappoint share holders by painting a false picture if they are in regular contact imv.

Rainmaker 2 Jul'15 - 17:00 - 732 of 732

I almost never ever speak to management because I want to look at situation through cold, hard facts and figures. If you have questions for them, you can almost always find out the answers if you do enough research which is good discipline because often in the process you discover other valuable information. I also think speaking to management often smacks of laziness. There are not going to tell you more than is already in the public domain. It's almost like Investors looking for shortcuts.

- Quite a statement Rainmaker. Sorry to say that I disagree entirely with your sentiments.

Like yourself I'm a long term investor rather than trader, probably more suited to ZULU type opportunities although involved in a number of value situations. While I acknowledge that many investors don't wish to engage with management, I have found approaching management compliments my own research by achieving a better understanding of the business or developments therein. You've travelled through these boards for many years and will know of the sterling work by davidosh and ShareSoc in attempting to open up the channels for PI's to gain access to management by arranging regular events and encouraging investors along to AGMs.

So please let's agree to disagree on management engagement. If your own process works then great, but don't attribute speaking with management with being a lazy investor. I can confirm that's certainly not the case.

Kind regards,
GHF
