A bit more buying with the share price @ 8P to buy for a £5k purchase at midday today. The 1p divi must be encouraging some interest.

Anybody seen any comment in the media about the interims?

It's the 'fonetic speling', a decline in standards that comes from 2 much texting.

Prelims out at 10:00 today, and a purchase of 1000000 shares @ 7.38p at 15:30 (it wasn't me!), with a 200000 buy at 7.5P shortly after.

Highlights
-NAV increase from 11.8p September 09 to 12.8p March 10
-intention to distribute a further £4.1m (1p per share) after the AGM.

I would expect AGM before end of September, but that should be announced when we get the Annual Report in hopefully 2-3 weeks time.

Not exactly the resurection & the life CDLANEY, but things are looking up. Just as well you weren't cremated! -:)

I was expecting good things from SPK, and was very tempted to top up, but the rediculous spreads and poor liquidity put me off.

Seeing a few buys this morning perhaps encouraged by Fridays good news.

With prelims and annual report to come over the next few weeks, and AGM before end September, the resulting newsflow should help to narrow the NAV discount. Any announcement of a dividend would help and Fridays profitable sale has to be a step in the right direction.

another good profit on a Spark investment. This time £1.57m becomes £3.4m to go into the kitty.
But all sells today at 6p

Hello Fuiseog.......
I was in these years ago, during the dot.com boom leading up to 2000. Sold at
a loss after the bubble burst. Can't believe the price now. Sad indictment
of mangement who've taken salary and fees during a long period of abysmal performance, share-price-wise. Bargepole and not, with might be the words
to play with. Good luck to you and best regards.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......OMG, wakey wakey, b&*g%r! What's happening? Somebody's spent £18,750.

Woulden't be a Director, do you think? It'll be an interesting wait to see if there's an RNS. He could be loading up in advance of the close period before results etc.

That's pure speculation on my part. But then stranger things have happened at Easter, by all accounts.

Please don't all jump for the buy button on my account -:) I think I'll stay out of hybernation for a little while.

Any other views?

They would be a buy if you want to stay in 'till the end if it's able to realise that 11.6p NAV or more. Disposals in the interim could realise some of this value sooner.

In the past 12 months the FTSE 350 as an example has advanced roughly 50% while SPK has advanced c. 15%, so the poor performance cannot be blamed on the market. SPK share price has dropped from somewhere in the region of 80% NAV to c. 50%.

Current buy/sell spreads of up to 15% and non existant volumes means nobody in their right mind (IMHO) would condider SPK a trading share.

The Board have shown themselves unable or unwilling to let the market know about the value in the shares, and I fail to see how the inherent value can be outed until the final wind-up. In the shorter term the December trading statement said "we do not presently expect that there will be any further dividend in respect of the year to March 2010."

Without some 'valuation events' I can't see the market closing up the NAV discount, but I'd be very happy if someone could give reasons why I'm wrong.
