01/2/2024 16:25 | Cash was $6722 at end of June 2023 | littlened
01/2/2024 16:07 | Surely they are immune to FX risk in Egypt everything is in USD - they just cant transfer the actual USD out of the country Is that not right? | roman2325
01/2/2024 15:08 | EBITDAX for half year to 30/06/23 was $8.1m so lets say $16m for whole year, some of which has stayed in Egypt | littlened
01/2/2024 14:52 | Yes, production is decreasing, 5 months the asset is being ran to the ground. | neo26
01/2/2024 14:24 | But isnt oil priced in $US ? | littlened
01/2/2024 14:04 | Egyptian pound has fallen another 24% in the last month in 2024.What on earth is the board upto? 5 months for a disposal???hTtps://t | neo26
01/2/2024 13:41 | Frustrating this stock.Need an update how the books are in egypt. BOD wages and admin cost where is this coming from?WG and SD revenue still part of sdx?5 whole months.. | neo26
31/1/2024 12:55 | I guess I should not be surprised - ok point taken lol | roman2325
31/1/2024 11:06 | tbh Roman, this entire company has not been a "good look" since Squelch left. As you pointed out recently being an investor in small-cap oil is not what 99% of retail investors are doing these days. All I can hope is that it pays off. Sadly, private equity intervention at a huge discount is the most likely outcome. The halcyon days of 50p are long gone. Hoping that these new boys can rescue the phoenix from the ashes. | winnet
31/1/2024 10:43 | I would be dubious of 'nothing material' aswell. Hopefully this is just 1 seller and for reasons totally unconnected but its not a good look | roman2325
31/1/2024 10:40 | ‘Obviously on course’is my opinion,not what William said | littlened
30/1/2024 17:52 | It does say "expected" on the previous RNS, its not a cast iron guarantee. Ned was the only PI at the agm so good to see they will talk to us plebs. | winnet
30/1/2024 16:30 | Little - didn't they say they will be paid by end Jan? So the RNS is tomorrow then? How can he even divulge this? | roman2325
30/1/2024 16:13 | I have been in touch with William McAvock CFO who assures me that nothing material has changed since the last update on 9th January so everything is obviously on course. | littlened
30/1/2024 14:58 | Winnet - as said before their meat is in the debt not the equity. And they have only taken an equity position to support their debt. A company like Aleph will see no deal flow (anyone ever heard of them lol), they don't get the opportunity to finance Glencore. This will have landed on their desk - they've taken a punt on it under the assumption Egypt would pay out pretty quick and now they're asking themselves how they ever get their money back They are not Morocco exploration experts - they have zero interest in holding long term | roman2325
30/1/2024 14:54 | Not sure if anyone follows the smaller explorers (energy/miners) in general but they're getting smashed - anything that isn't seriously capitalised is going to zero. Reflection of death of easy money but especially here. They need to keep every penny they can find in house - borrowing at 20% is not a long term strategy to wealth generation!!! | roman2325
30/1/2024 14:54 | roman - they are also shareholders, you know that? | winnet
30/1/2024 13:26 | Why do you think they have any interest other than making the highest return on their loan possible? | roman2325
30/1/2024 12:57 | We really need to do research on who Aleph is?I think they are more interested in the pipeline in morocco. | neo26
30/1/2024 12:32 | Why would any shareholder want a special dividend? Insanity. They can't find investment - don't give away whatever they actually have!!! | roman2325
30/1/2024 12:26 | SD will be disposed for around $10m.This is taking ridiculous amount of time. With them paying instalments for WG, one can assume SD payment method will be similar | neo26
30/1/2024 12:21 | maybe because the buyer doesn't want to reveal their identity? Almost certainly that. Why? Well, that's anyone's guess. Neo - a special divi, if the SD payment is large enough, could be a possibility, but you seem better connected than me and I'm just fantasizing. | winnet
30/1/2024 11:11 | The problem is its been 5 months since they said HOT signed with confidential company.Admin cost are racking up, who paying their wages and they cant do anything with the disposal cash yet.Citric were suppose to agree to larger offtake but they only agreed to the same terms as the last one.Very frustrating, they done WG deal why are they not announcing the buyers identity...... | neo26
30/1/2024 10:14 | This will never pay a div lets be honest. They have a chance (can't believe I am even writing this) to carve out a niche as a leading energy supplier in North Africa (North Morocco at least) assuming they don't run out of money first, and stop trying to be the next Shell. Get the cash in, expand production, learn how to fund buyers (again, not one person in the company has a background in marketing hydrocarbons, finding buyers is fundamental to EVERY business) | roman2325
30/1/2024 09:19 | What would be nice is an intra-day RNS with a huge SD cash settlement that would blow the socks off the liquidity and move us to a fresh range. I would then like a follow-up RNS with a value creative bolt-on acquisition indicating a new phase and new trading range for the business. A roadmap to divis would be the icing on the cake. Is this hoping for too much? | winnet |
