05/2/2018 10:36 | They must have really impressed the analysts at the site visit! | greenrichard
05/2/2018 09:53 | Windjammer, I don't blame you. I also sold down my SDX and some of those funds went into building a larger position in I3E now they have a big money investor waiting in the wings to take them to FOIL this year. The issue I'm having with SDX is whatever asset level progress they are making, placings, slow-government payback, and/or perception of management is inhibiting the ability of the company to reflect its progress in the shareprice. Good progress in Morocco, but what is their to show for it? In Egypt, they need to agree pricing for SD and make progress on longstanding receivables. Cash | cashandcard

05/2/2018 07:13 | That's great goldie. I'm on twitter follow the main #SDX page and have just started following urraca and bonker. And just found bonker's blog, in case anyone else wants to have a look: hxxps://bonker99.com | haideralifool
05/2/2018 01:57 | Haider, not sure if youre in the twitter group or not, Urraca is so maybe he'll pass the images on. I dont do emails so dont ask please. If not in a nutshellPre 3d (circle oil), 6 targets combined 62bcf follow on potential of 112-215bcf.Post 3d and post 3 exploration wells (sdx), 5 targets combined 13bcf.Ive took the liberty of highlighting the reservoirs being poked on the old circle drawings. The two wells in this campaign are different play types. Lms-2 is the same play type as nfa-1 which failed previously. Lnb-1 is the same play type as lms-1 which flowed a 1.9mmcf/d and 1.1mmcf/d from each section encountered.Lms-1 was never connected and put into production due to the pipeline required to justify development of a poor well. If more wells come in good in this license maybe that pipeline will be extended to the northern license after all. | goldieshotz
05/2/2018 01:23 | Haider i still have the old circle oil presentations, 6 targets with 62bcf combined potential. Follow on potential of 112-215bcfThis was pre 3D might i add, and before the drillbit on that northern permit, il see if i can find any info out from later after the initial drill on the permit. | goldieshotz
03/2/2018 08:03 | Lauders, there is a 7 page Edison note based off the site visit. it's not as enthusiastic as some would like, but good review of the risk factors and I find that if I am aware of these, as James Bond would say, "I live longer that way". I really wish that when malcy refers to "moving onto the meat and drink", he'd cover issues such as why SDX expect better success at LM than Circle achieved. But I have previously contended that he likely does ask these questions off camera and the answers are fed to paying clients. Nothing wrong with that, it's what all analysts do, but I think that's his business model. | haideralifool
03/2/2018 03:41 | Geraldo, you are wrong about the drilling sequence at South Disouq. The first well (which should spud in a couple of weeks) is a riskier EXPLORATION well on the Ibn Yunus prospect. Chance of success 40% and target size 150 BCF. That will be followed by two development wells on the SD1-X structure. The fourth and final well is another exploration target called Kelvin which is a structure that may prove to be connected to SD1-X. Note that none of these four wells are going to test oil targets. My hope is that at least one of the two exploration wells and both development wells are successful. The sequence of course matters for the stock price since the market tends to extrapolate. So I really hope we start with a success (S) rather than a failure (F)even though in the end FSSS is as good as SSSF. | tigris72poo
03/2/2018 01:44 | 16 analysts visited Morocco & as far as I know only Malcy has produced anything of note about the trip. Everything positive apart from the poor share price action: From 6.38 minutes/seconds in. Edit: This was the only other post trip analyst feedback I have seen released in addition to that of Malcy's above: | lauders
02/2/2018 21:06 | Sounds like ropey reservoir quality? Maybe hoping for better sands in a different location? | thegreatgeraldo
02/2/2018 20:32 | Thanks Captain, has anyone got an idea about how/why SDX think they'd get a better result? | haideralifool
02/2/2018 20:14 | haider Well they drilled three and had one hit with the very first: LAM-1, the first well drilled by Circle on the Lalla Mimouna permit, targeted the Miocene gas-bearing sands, similar to the Sebou Permit to the south of Lalla Mimouna. The TD of the well at 1,541 metres MD was reached on 26 May 2015, prospective gas zones were logged, a completion string was installed and the rig relocated to drill the ANS-2 well. The LAM-1 well was then tested using a slick-line unit following the release of the rig. The primary target was perforated at 1,261-1,272 metres and flowed gas at a stabilised rate of 1.9 MMscf/d on a 16/64" choke and the secondary target was perforated at 1,181-1,183 metres MD and flowed at a stabilised rate of 1.1 MMscf/d on a 16/64" choke. | captain james t kirk
02/2/2018 16:51 | Cheers HAF!! | thegreatgeraldo
02/2/2018 15:57 | Ah ha, daft63 kindly replied to me on the lse board and told me about a poster by the name of goldieshotz who posted this: "step up in moroccan assets as even circle thought there was 50-60bcf in 4/5 prospects in that northern license before it was sold to sdx. If the northern license comes in good theyll need to extend the pipeline to that license, more delays but the 24mmcf/d may be hit next year imo if lalla mimouna nord comes in good. Once that pipeline is filled we can explore for bigger stuff to justify a bigger development in the area." So, the Lalla Mimouna wells could be something to look forward to after all... | haideralifool
02/2/2018 15:48 | Hmm. On slide 22 of the Dec 2017 presentation, they show LM as having 3 circles. Would I be right in thinking that when they refer to trying the northern bit first with LNB-1 and LMS1, these are the two northernmost circles? Somewhere in the range of different media they use, they mentioned going after the riskier(?) northern wells first and if that did not work they'd stick with the southern. I'd assumed that riskier meant likely more gas being sought. | haideralifool
02/2/2018 15:05 | HAF, Not seen any mention about what they're looking at at LM....... | thegreatgeraldo
02/2/2018 15:00 | Thanks for that tgg. Do you see any interesting upside from the two Lalla Mimouna explo wells? They don't seem to mention it, but if those well do produce won't they also need to extend the pipeline from Gharb centre to LM? | haideralifool
02/2/2018 14:09 | Agree on I3E. They will be producing this year shakey. Bargain at current prices but they aren't well known amongst PIs at the moment. Grab em sub £1 whilst you can imo. | duckdown
02/2/2018 14:09 | profit yes but could have been much more had PW not upset the market doing placings at mates rates. hear you go done your research fore you, if you need your lawn cutting i will be round later. | w1ndjammer
02/2/2018 14:01 | Then you must have made a decent profit. Are I3E producing any barrels at the moment? | shakeypremis
02/2/2018 13:54 | shakey i have been in SDX for yonks buying around 30p don`t dismiss I3E without doing your research m-cap £15 mill 200 mill funding pumping 10,000 bopd before end of year North Sea its a gift WJ. | w1ndjammer
02/2/2018 13:43 | WindJammer, with that terrible investment strategy you will lose your shirt if you keep doing it. Buying in to a spike? Did you buy in to SDX on a spike by any chance too? | shakeypremis
02/2/2018 13:35 | HAF, I'll guess you're there or thereabouts, although I've seen suggestions of $4mcf? However...... AIUI the first 2 SD wells are low risk app wells & will hopefully give SD 150bcf* & gross production of 50mmscfd. The 2nd 2 wells are explo wells & if successful could take gross production by 2018 year end up to around 100mmscfd. That implies a gross reserve up in the 300bcf region *PW recently suggested 150-180bcf, that's over the 3 structures (last year's discovery & the 2 app wells). | thegreatgeraldo |
