Tgg,Let's see what they announce in the next few days/week's regarding the other flowtests and fluid sampling of the formation.PW has a knack of being conservative and releasing information, bit by bit, as it becomes available.Cash

Indeed cash, which is why the anticipated condensate is so welcome, much higher netback per BOE from condensate than gas.

Regarding the commerciality of the discovery and project economics, contractor and government take - I would stick with the reported gas netback of around $1.00-1.22/mscf. Cash

My calculations also do not include the higher flow rate that is possible as the 26 MMCFD was the limit of the surface testing facility/ equipment.

.....Yes, but there's a difference between a test rate fron virgin reservoir & a sustainable production rate. Doubtless you're aware of the govt take from SDX's 2 current production licences?

Great news folks. Two quick points;Firstly, lack of any condensate mentioned in RNS is probably (in my opinion) because more testing needs to be done on both upper and lower Abu madi, this was the first test and was an upper Abu Madi test. As they release info when it becomes available, i suspect they will announce more detail later on.Secondly, the excellent high stabilised flow rates will themselves go a long way to ensuring commerciality and also impact those resource and reserve figures for this field and also block.Cash

Does this not also suggest that they still expect condensate too:-

'The well has now been shut in for an initial build-up after which a series of additional flowing periods will be conducted and fluid samples taken.'

Hmmmmm.... I thought somewhere between 10-20mmscfd from testing, comfortably exceeded that. They also mention "dry natural gas". I take that to mean no water, not a lack of condensate, as they go on to mention taking fluid samples after pressure build-up. What's not to like?

Brasso, your calcs don't include the govt take.

I noticed it was dry gas, so up to now there are no condensates? The most important thing its commercial.

You won't get much interest from Canada, the interest will come tomorrow morning.Herd will come in..I see no reason why we can't be trading at £1, broker valued our company at 83p and they didn't take into Acc the SD find, they were going to wait for the testing results...This is marvellous result for us sdx holders....

I don't believe it - another bank holiday bonus!

Here's an alternative link to save those half asleep like myself from having to scroll back too far!

...Paul Welch, President and CEO of SDX, commented:

"Underpinned by the strong local gas demand, today's news is highly positive and confirms the overall success of the recent SD-1X campaign. Not only do we have this excellent result in the upper Abu Madi section, we also remain very upbeat about the oil potential in the deeper Cretaceous horizon, where a working petroleum system was also discovered.

Whilst the work of bringing the gas discovery into production is our primary focus, we are also planning for further drilling in the lower Cretaceous age horizons where we see additional potential. South Disouq remains, however, one strand in the SDX story. Concurrently, we are extremely active across the rest of our North Africa portfolio, which will include development and exploration drilling in Morocco in the next quarter. We look forward to providing further updates over the coming months."

Just a quick break down of the potential production number of this single well with local gas prices around$3.75 per MCF.

25.8 (MMCFD) x 1000 x 0.55 (NRI) x $3.75 = $53k/ day

$19.4m/ year

The South Disouq concession consists of a 1275 km2 acreage position in the Nile Delta. Estimated to contain 1.3 TCF of resource potential (P10).

I wonder if there will be a revision to than number.

I believe this drill will prove up between 150bcf-250bcf of gas. They will definitely fast track south Disouq now, with drilling being very cheap it won't cost us and our partners much. On average it will cost around $3m per well. We will drill 5, share it between our partner that around $8m cost to us. In Morocco where we will drill 7 wells, it will cost us $1m per well, and take only two weeks per well. We have $21m in bank, $16m in receivables due, and making around $2-3m free cashflow per month. Plenty money flowing in to develop both assets.. MKT cap 104m.... Rerate coming!!!! Big one...

AMER are just below 5000 BOEPD from memory.

SDX should be around 7000 - 9000 BOEPD in the next 6 - 9 months.
