22/11/2018 17:08 | If you ask your bank how long it takes to clear a dollar denominated cheque, they will tell you 6-8 weeks. | kalkulacka
22/11/2018 12:17 | I won't be asking them. No real interest. I don't use AJB, and have no plans to change that, and even less now! But it's such a big difference it seems worthy of note. Suggests very poor procedures for handling non Sterling divs. And I'd wonder what other procedural issues they have. | greyingsurfer
22/11/2018 09:55 | Why does it take AJB 8 weeks to clear the cheque, when others managed it a month ago? "no idea you'll have to ask them" I doubt you will get an resonable answer if you do. Would you buy shares in such a bunch of second raters? maybe reminding them of that would get you just as far (that is nowhere) 3800 | 3800

22/11/2018 07:28 | i emailed them about it westcountryboy the reply was they received the USD cheque and it can take up to 8 weeks to clear and arrive into the account i worked that out as around the second week in december | jon123
22/11/2018 07:11 | Still no sign of the dividend in my AJ Bell SIPP - I don't normally get neurotic about these things but this is getting a bit ridiculous... | westcountryboy
21/11/2018 16:15 | Couple of decent size orders gone thru ?, about 0.8% of mcap , i think :-)Stand to be corrected of course and no idea if it actually means anything.DbD :-) | death by donut
20/11/2018 16:13 | Well here's my 320 but I've cancelled my order. I'm good at buying spike downs but this has a feel it may go lower despite the chart support. Love the company but not this market. | basem1
16/11/2018 11:16 | Anyone else have issues buying this share on IG? | michaeljames1

15/11/2018 15:03 | Just part of the wider market sell off & fear of peak earnings / a slowdown in world trade next year. Regardless of how strong the business is (and it is very strong - see post 1670), this is still a cyclical stock & will be priced accordingly at times like this. Lookng further ahead, the obvious quality on offer & substantial yield make it a compelling LTBH for me. | xajorkith
15/11/2018 13:27 | why has this share been stumbling - wHt factors are affecting the share price movement? | ali47fish
31/10/2018 21:11 | Shift to online retailing means need for very large, high warehouses near dense urban areas . These need very flat floors to allow forklifts to move around quickly and safely and reduce downtime repairing floor joins and cracks . Amazon and others have been big drivers of Somero's growth in recent years | nchanning
31/10/2018 19:59 | This is definitely not a secular growth company. Its definitely the other things, but lets be real. if a construction crisis hits, this will likely see revenues decline steeply (double digits IMO) | dan_the_epic
31/10/2018 19:30 | One of many quality companies that Mr Market is offering a fantastic discount on this October! 1. A global leader in a niche market 2. A Forward P/E of 12 3. Fantastic quality of earnings, very low capex spending leads to close to 100% Free Cash Flow conversion 4. Return on Capital approaching 50% 5. A secular growth trend in high quality warehouse flooring, new products in laser screeds for high rise buildings, opportunities to grow market share outside USA 6. Experienced management that actively engages with shareholders, manages the business conservatively, seeks to return excess capital, and does not pursue expensive growth 7.US earnings MAY be approaching a cyclical peak, but the rest of the world may not be 8. Trough earnings are unlikely to be as bad as the last unusually severe recession, and the company has 20 million dollars in net cash on the balance sheet to avoid any chance of financial distress 9. Somero has a long history of defending its market leading position, suggesting that its moat may be sustainable 10. All the financial characteristics that Warren buffet would be looking for! | nchanning
31/10/2018 17:48 | Even after the recent movement upwards this is still on a 2018 PER of 12 and a dividend yield of over 5%. This company has an excellent moat in IP and, probably more importantly, in customer service (contractors need advice before the concrete goes off). A very prudent PER of around 15 would seem relevant here which would give a share price of 450p. When I look at my current portfolio and consider Brexit, trade wars, rising interest rates etc etc ... this actually stands out as the only share I definitively will have in 6 months time and is why I added at 320s, 340s and 350s. Just my personal thoughts. | podgyted
31/10/2018 09:46 | Wait any longer and you'll miss a bargain. I bought at 3.20 last week. | basem1
31/10/2018 09:15 | so whats the strategy to start adding now or wait for the markets to settle any insights? | ali47fish
30/10/2018 15:16 | I noticed Bought some | nfs
30/10/2018 12:21 | Think a few people have noticed how cheap this had become. | podgyted
26/10/2018 16:02 | I was only talking about selling to buy back within my SIPP. Dividend arrived today with 30% deducted which I could save if they were held in my SIPP. | stepone68 |
