Between me & Mrs. up £125k so far in SOLG having bought at 20p and sold at 35p in the previous rise...

After making over £100k in ATYM between us between Dec 2015 and May 2018...

Must just be good luck...

Or a strategy, patience and active management when necessary...

Ok lowtrawler what's facts facilitated the rise from 12p to 30p.....I'll give you my view, A general improvement in market sentimentNm saying he may buy sharesThen an announcement saying we have non binding interest in off take contracts.....An upgrade on the resource value of 7% All of the above added 150 percent to the market cap, however the main reason for the increase was the webinar by a broker, with an interest, saying funding is imminent.....All I can see through the white noise is a ceo scrambling to raise funds which he said he would do a long time ago. He also stated he would sort the cornerstone issue out many months ago.Nothing in the past months announcements warranted the rise imo

PS
Another reason is that costs to find and then develop a mine ALWAYS, ALWAYS. turn out far, far, higher than the original promoters promise. In fact, the only truly profitable mid-cap miners are those who snap up, cheaply, the assets of predecessors who had gone bust (losing their investors their shirts) doing the ground work.

LT I remember seeing a thoroughly researched article, with data and statistics, showing that in Canadian and Americam mining shares - the vast majority of private investort DID lose money. The only ones who didn't were the very early stagers (usually pre-ipo) - those who came on behind were milked for follow on development funds and the accompanying share dilution. The early investors managed to avoid that because their shares had been extra cheap, with cheap warrants and options etc.
And Remember Mark Twain. His resemblance to NM is (probably) purely coincidental.

Relax mk. The more you look at price movements, the more you see spurious patterns. Stop looking so regularly and you will be much happier.

If the market fell, we were always going to go with it. The expected news next week will arrest our fall. Whether it projects us back to 30p will depend on the details.

Nas_daq, you seen to pluck numbers out of thin air! 90% of private investors lose money do they? Even the CFD crowd only show about 70% losing money.Although it's always useful to have a contrary view on the thread, it would really help if you could support your opinion with structured arguments. Repeating that we're built on hot air is getting tedious. We are gatekeepers to an important asset, Alpala. The asset is worth several billion and we are going through a process which is attempting to extract as much of that value as possible for shareholders. Individuals can take a whole spectrum of views from not being able to extract any asset value to being able to extract it all and leverage into other assets. This is not hot air and most visitors to this site expect we will be able to extract a decent proportion of value to shareholders.

Or because the price is dropping not rising. It went from 12p to 30p on nothing.12p was oversold, 30p was overbought, that is what ,rakers consistently do.

90 percent of private investors lose money, that's a fact you probably don't like and that's the reason I only let people who know what they are doing invest my money.I only have an interest in this share because a friend keeps on trying to get me to buy and I keep on saying I think he is over optimistic, it seems he is pessimistic compared to some of the ramping on here.As I've said consistently what goes up on hot air generally comes back down, without any funding or a bid, which has zero chance imo, this won't hit 40p
