Can I remind you that there are 155 million shares sat on CGP's balance sheet that could be sold at any time if need be...and I guess Jiangxi would pay a premium to the market price to get them...

But the Board don't want to do that, nor issue equity, which is why I think a streaming deal or especially an offtake like Jiangxi's £500m to First Quantum (on the verge of going bust) are more likely...

Remember Jiangxi have a NED on the SOLG Board...

Post 43185. Lies havinthel, probably not, but the sentiment he displays, agreed is always to try to knock the share, it seems to me.


Share dealing is a risk which we have to weigh up in our own way.

But some of us do it on a risk/reward basis.

The share is cheap and believe it or not, was more risky when it was, higher, but it doesn't appear that way to people as the herd mentality sets in.

Each to their own.


But I would agree that generally he appears to be trying to put people off.

MK, I'm not sure RP deliberately set out to mislead people. You may recall he did a T+10 (or was it T+20) trade in anticipation of the PFS announcement. As it turned out, his timing was off and the trade lost him money.

I think he is so emotionally committed to SOLG that he genuinely believes he knows what is happening as well as the senior management team. I suspect he is shocked when events don't go as he expects. He has a view of what SOLG is worth and how the share price will soar. It is a dangerous mindset that could lead him to invest more than is sensible and be slow to divest if things don't work out as planned.

Without a doubt, RP has researched SOLG more than any other poster and understands more about SOLG than any other forum contributor. However, it doesn't follow he is making better predictions / forecasts.

MK, unless someone has inside knowledge, the exact timing of an RNS can never be known. We both know RP does not possess inside knowledge. At best, he was guessing when an announcement would be made.

It does not alter the fact an announcement will arrive over the next few weeks. More important than the precise timing is how the funding will be made. If they can do an asset deal for Porvenir, the terms of that deal are likely to be read across to Cascabel. If the deal is a NSR or take-off deal, I don't believe the share price will be impressed. As RP clearly does not know the terms of the deal, it is impossible for him to make 20p price targets by end of the week that are anything other than pure speculation.

Approached logically, any post made in a public forum that confidently says when a funding RNS is going to be made, and what the price impact of that RNS will be, should be ignored.
