Strange goings on , Directors have not sold any shares in Solgold and it would seem they are buying more . So they must think they can raise at anytime they want to , next week expect to see Scott add to his many purchases .

MK, if a financing deal is under negotiation. Whether in the next few weeks or months, the FD would be unable to buy. It either means Scott was fantasising about what might happen or the deal has fallen through. Which is it?

So I believe I was reading, hearing that margin requirements for trading precious metals futures were increased, sparking a sell off midday where gold was on its way towards exceeding $2,450 an ounce, and with a matter of a couple of hours, it reversed $100. So that was, you know, you saw this huge sell off in the price of gold here in the US. But when you look, Chris, outside the US, and you look at, for example, gold on the Shanghai exchange, repriced in dollar terms, gold still selling for $2,437. So as of the moment that you and I are speaking, Chris, that is nearly a $100 premium. So I think the sell off in gold is going to be short lived because think about it from an arbitrage standpoint, you can buy us gold, take delivery, or essentially buy us gold and then sell it forward in China on their Shanghai exchange and hedge your currency and still make a very sizable premium.

So I think this massive premium between the Shanghai price gold and the US gold price will be closed because there is a huge arbitrage opportunity here. And so I think the sell off in gold will be limited as long as the Shanghai price of gold remains elevated.

Lowtrawler , Scott never promised a finance deal . He actually said in the coming weeks or months .

As far as giving back the 6 percent the Sp rose on Friday its always possible as it seems to be trading between 9.15 to 9.90

The reason I got in, as I wasn't convinced generally about gold stocks at the time.

That for me is important as I see that as above the low.

Gold stocks have seemed to rise, recently. interest rate decisions, expectations, and so on.

Expectations being the important bit.
The Fed might surprise.


However, we have to have some sort of belief or we would nothing.
Having said that for many nothing might be a good choice!

MK, they didn't think the term deal with the government even warranted an RNS. On that basis, they probably wouldn't consider it inside information. However, the Finance Director would certainly be unable to purchase if any financing is under negotiation or any bid being discussed. Come Monday, I would expect any price appreciation based on these rumours to be wiped out.

Dopey dafad the other day read a job on thg and interpreted as a listing in USA. He didn’t even know nutrition was already split. The muppet jumps to conclusions, if they have news they will release it on an RNs not on Twitter. So unless there is a Toronto RNs current then there is no significant news and of course a director wouldn’t be buying it there was news not in public domain.

I dont know to be honest , first we get a directors buy which i agree with TT Toast that no news should be forthcoming as it would be insider trading if finace was due then we get news that Solgold has signed a 33 year deal with the Government which should also be classed as insider trading .
