13/4/2020 20:20 | I always thought paper money is worthless, it's just a promise on a note | ![]() ntbb
13/4/2020 19:59 | I suppose the demand for physical metal from the CME is indeed like a run on a Bank, and the 'Bank' is issuing IOU's! So what are those IOU's worth? Who is going to buy them if you think the CME is a fraud? Or would that be the FED, buyer of all things paper? What's another $30 billion in this multiple $ trillions tsunami of fake money, to cover the fake gold store fiasco. | ![]() lefrene
13/4/2020 19:26 | Maybe a run on the bank ..ouch | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 19:13 | Well if the CME has to find 8 million ounces, that's going to take quite a while if the metal is not in storage somewhere. I believe the CME which pretended for decades that they had the metal in storage, are now saying that it is in fact in London in an inconvenient size which has to be recast into sizes that suit the American market. How many of those people getting more paper, are furious and doubtful that they will ever see the gold they paid for? Just about all of them I should think. | ![]() lefrene
13/4/2020 18:56 | They have said that some buyers have rolled over the delivery date . Gives them a little room but sooner or later it will catch them up .nearly 1720. Gold stocks in the US with major rises today . Banks and housing stocks well down . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 18:47 | I see the gap between the spot and the paper market has closed up only about $5 just now. How can this be a real market when it's well known that there's no stock to meet the paper calls upon it? CME apparently 8 million ounces short! It's Bernie Madoff all over again, but I bet no one goes to jail! | ![]() lefrene
13/4/2020 18:13 | Gold Etf ,s 7 year high . Cant see it dropping ... too many gold producers shut . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 18:09 | On your filter list eh mknight ? How long is it out of your pram ? 2 months ? - 3 months ? Do remind us. And by the way, the door is over there ! | ![]() dozyduck
13/4/2020 17:51 | Lefrene Not long by looks of it 1715 now . Gold 7 yr high China import approx 50 % of all copper produced They are open most of the big producers are shut . Takes a bit of time but maybe copper is in for a nice run . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 16:45 | Bankers are also greedy and blind when it suits them or else we wouldn't be in the pickle we are in now. It's often observed that Banks only want to lend to people who don't need to borrow. The big share holders in Solg could fund a mine themselves, but no doubt for fiscal reasons would prefer to incur borrowings. The way gold is going (and copper always follows), there won't be a shortage of lenders looking for a surefire thing, in a world where all shades of vendors of consumer tat are going to fall off a cliff. How much longer are they going to be able to supress gold? | ![]() lefrene
13/4/2020 16:42 | Whatever DD On the filter list you go . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 16:30 | Bankers and loan providers DON'T EVER risk losing their shirts, mknight ! They expect equity investors (aka mugs like us) to do that first. If they provide loans, it will only be when its CERTAIN they will get their money back, and even then they'll want belts and braces in the form of first call on any fixed assets devoted to mining that they can sell at a discount. Alpala isn't anywhere near a stage, yet, when bankers will believe that. | ![]() dozyduck
13/4/2020 16:29 | And copper 2.33 With south and north América shut down not much on the supply side . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 16:17 | Gold price looking very nice | ![]() ntbb
13/4/2020 11:44 | I'm looking forward to tomorrow very positive, 19p has gone if not then theres only 200k left and I expect that to be taken with few minutes of opening, chart looking positive, sentiment positive, totally undervalued, money pouring into equities as theres simply too much printed note and they need to find home somewhere, gold/copper on the rise, mather said very significantly news to be announced soon, I would not like to be out of these at this stage | ![]() ntbb
13/4/2020 10:54 | DD.. of course they do . How do they ever become a producer. We will have debt if/when the finance is sorted .. The difference is our asset value will outweigh the debt . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 10:46 | mknight ! No non-producing miner ever has any debt. No one will provide it. | ![]() dozyduck
13/4/2020 10:37 | Lowtrawler . As you say we are undervalued and without Debt . We donot have to worry about paying back the bank like 95 % of the companies out there . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 10:36 | Financing would transform the perception here, it will be the key to unlocking the treasure trove. It goes from being a long shot 'maybe', to an actual happening, something real, from just an idea. With financing in place there might come offers to buy out Alpala, CGP will likely be kicked into touch if they can't pony up their 15% of mine building costs, which I believe they have to do once the BFS is completed, ie before works start. The commodity cycle seems to be turning up, Solg is getting help from it's major shareholders to speed up the BFS, perhaps at long last the stars are going to align for Solg. | ![]() lefrene
13/4/2020 10:23 | I believe the rise has been in anticipation of MRE3 and the positive sounds being made on financing. I believe these are now fully priced in.I hope you are right and we have further to rise. Certainly, we are still undervalued and so there is scope for price improvement. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/4/2020 10:13 | Lowtrawler , of late we have bucked the trend. The market has had many down days and the price has continued to rise . Those that have sold into the rise thinking the share would fall have been disappointed . The share is very undervalued and imho will continue to rise .we have shut down and the price has continued to rise nothing as yet has changed . | ![]() mknight
13/4/2020 10:12 | Do you really want to value Alpala at current gold and copper prices? If so, the NPV will be about 70% less than the PEA.Although gold is well above the value used in the PEA, copper is well down. Remember, Alpala has a 65 year life and so commodity prices need to be looked at as a long term average, not spot prices. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/4/2020 09:57 | Copper price is surging and so is gold which makes our resources in the ground more valuable | ![]() ntbb
13/4/2020 09:56 | There are only 3 types of news which will cause is to rerate in the way we hope:1. Takeover, don't see anything happening in the next few months.2. A new Alpala sized discovery, not happening while drilling is suspended.3. Financing. In terms of financing, I know a lot of people have read the 11 March announcement to mean that it would happen within 8 weeks. However, the wording was unclear whether they meant 8 weeks from then or 8 weeks once they have a heads of agreement. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/4/2020 09:40 | The market is heading for a fall tomorrow. We need an announcement that the directors have purchased more than expected for us to avoid joining in. We are then likely to have several weeks without news where we will move in the general direction of the market | ![]() lowtrawler |
