Says clearly that it will be debt funded not equity funded.

wisteria, it probably won't be long before the usual suspects arrive boasting that they bought below 22p when the price is back in the 30's and above.

Positive recent interview with NM on the current share price weakness. Worth a watch if you haven’t already seen it while we watch our investment getting trashed LOL!

The last line from the interviewer is priceless given today’s price action.

“So a great time for SOLG shareholders then”!

Over reaction by the market always flushes out the leveraged positions but anyone lucky to hit the buy button at 21p should be £s in!

ntbb, perhaps NM should just stop spending money and mothball the thing and just put a 'for sale' notice on it? But of course this is a game with big ego's, perhaps Nick Mather has upset a few in the past and now they are out to damage his dream of becoming a major player? But why today? This sort of smash and grab market stuff could have been done before, or waited until after the weekend, so why today? Perhaps Friday is a good day, get people to throw in the towel for the sake of a worry free weekend?

That Woodford bloke doesn't have a holding does he?

Tough market right now with minimal trading volumes but one for the diary - you will be able to see Nick Mather's live webcast presentation at Beaver Creek Precious Metals conference on the 12th September 4pm (23:00BST) $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

This sort of thing always shakes out small holders and presumably hoovers up stock for stronger hands. But a low ball offer fits my cynical view of the world.

I wish it would Lefrene. If nothing else it would stop the fall.

I’d hazard a guess this will bounce hard off 20 but that’s all it is. A guess! If 20p goes its not looking pretty at all.

Yes ntbb, rumoured to have a great deal of it at Blanca, but waiting for drill permits.

Certainly seems to be getting driven to a capitulation point. But anyone who sold above 35p might well consider it's worth buying back in? The thing is it's still just like an AiM stock, loads of talking but not much in the way of walking.
Will this result in a low ball attempt at a take over? I start to wonder if somebody in government has been persuaded (ahem) to delay the issue of those drilling licences?

At what point I wonder might the company say something about the drop or issue a “we know of No reason for the share price action” RNS? ......or maybe they do know?

Well, 20p looks nailed on now. Just hope it gets on with it and takes out that gap today? More chance of a bounce that way than the daily drip.

I bought in thinking bhp paying 45p a share would put a floor, how wrong, nm should just sell the company and retire

Mrpiggy, there must indeed be a point at which mines reduced to poor grades and uneconomic prices do indeed decide to mothball their sites. Perhaps we are at that stage now, since copper has failed to follow the scribblers predictions. Perhaps like so many things that become too cheap, the low price gets taken for granted, at first no one notices the weaker players who drop out until a tipping point is reached, when strangely suddenly something that was taken for granted isn't there any more. Then there's the sharp upward price correction needed to restore supply,.

Yes the recent odd behaviour of Trump over Greenland had me speculating that the USA might be considering becoming isolationist again? But the population of the planet outside of the Anglo-Saxon orbit is growing apace, demand for commodities will continue to rise as those populations strive to reach the levels of living standards of the West. But all that guff isn't helping the price of Solg just now!

Many thanks lefrene, we are of a similar mind. A lot of mines are working on a $3 /lb break even or not far off that so if things continue we will see more working mines mothballed putting even more pressure on supply. Sooner or later we are bound to switch from macro economics to fundamentals even if Trump doesn't do a deal with the Chinese. Meanwhile we grin and bear it.

Mrpiggy, My thoughts are that it's a very ugly game of poker for very big boys. Any interested party with serious clout such as BHP will stop at nothing to get its hands on the assets of Solg, but for the lowest possible price. No dirty trick will go untried. I suppose at worst if Solg gets low on money and can't raise more, then it can put parts of their assets up for auction? That way we find out if Alpala actually has a NPV of $2.1 to $2.4 billion! Then there will be funds to develop the many other sites.

The RNS repeats what is already known, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded that assets are massive and at odds with the current market capitalisation. In the meantime gold is up 15% against the PEA exercise, and I suspect will continue to rise further against fiat currencies, and history suggests that copper follows gold after about a 3 months time lag.

Of course this is just a market, the price moves on fears against hopes, the fears are that they won't get to production without giving a great deal away, the hopes are that the likes of BHP are hungry for large copper resources and will make an attractive deal. No doubt it will be something in the middle.

Good evening Lefrene, I hope you are well. Do you not get the feeling the longer this goes on that BHP will wait for Nick Mather to run out of cash and acquire Solgold on the cheap?I don't think they will be in any rush with copper prices on their backside. I wasn't impressed with the way they increased their holding by acquiring the shares from a distressed holder but that said Mr Market liked it. What's your thoughts?

What gets me is how a little over 0.1% of the company shares traded, and not all sells, can have this effect. It's either an underhand way of getting pi's to capitulate, or a fund raise looming (when the new finance guy hasn't even started yet?). Sorry, just rambling, but down 6% on that?
