I was intending to make a difference between you and gersemi, I was just highlight 2 separate thing in the same space
hopefully this time solg will deliver for your waiting with interest I have been very lucky on my timing and got in at 3.75 and sold 33% at 10.1

Well I am very happy having been in a relatively short time compared to you guys by the looks of it and in profit.
It has been an exciting stock so far and thanks for your expertise .

I feel its just the beginning of an exciting time with Gold seemingly being back in favour and SOLG being particularly interesting.

Spacedust, understand why you were panicking a month or so ago when you bought in again for the share price to drop. It's clear being a long term holder you have bought on the way down. No doubt the recent rise has helped somewhat and hoping that decades maybe within 12 months for you to more than break even. We never fully know, very nearly bought Ashtead a couple of years ago, they were 90p, oh! for hindsight.

Also having held for 6yrs means that I'm not a day trader. But I'm sad that I have to wait few more years as you state. It will end up being decades long investment just to break even

Newcrest did not buy the share but was exchanged for services
Not sure that was the amount that make trigger from 9.99 to 10% likely to be a coincidence
Gersemi unlikely you buy at the top could you paid few pence less in few days ... Maybe buy from previous time we meet in other threads I know you are investor and not day trader there for next day week or months is insignificant this will take at least few year to unlock value less change hand
Clearly this will need a lot more cash and or a partner to develop the mine that will be the next time for me to consider any change in the position

The clock is ticking on a bid .. All the conditions are ripe for an inevitable bidding war. Global concerns of declining grades and resource, metal prices increasing, and along comes SOLG with an absolute belter already which in terms of size and value shows no signs of stopping for years.

Just get your position and wait for the action ... if it doesn't come just enjoy the re-rating anyway.

I see newcrest have bought another 100k shares. Shame they didn't say at what price. But it's a buy so that's positive

I'm a newbie and for all I know I may have bought at the top but from what I have read we surely have a way to go yet

The TSX listing and the resource statement will surely put the company well on the international radar

It is true that the grade are not as good as some previous ones but as long as the area increase can only be positive
With the overall size you will have the grade difference but at this stage it is secondary importance

I'm passed off coz since I bought 29p recently there has been little movement. I'm passed people telling me over the years that patience is required when I've been holding for 6plus years having bought my first batch 50p.

Difference also is that we have billions of shares in issue and already valued at half a billion plus.

Things are very different now. Company has far more substance. You will get your money back & more. That day of hysteria did us genuine investors any favours except those who pumped and dumped and sold . Hang on to your shares.

Space, I've been in about 8yrs ago sins that spike. I bought in when it came down from about 70p. I bought @ 47p so I have some way to go but confident it will get there.
