It is far more to do with current gold prices and the macro, the shares' price direction at present.
Little to with the individual company and I would suggest has held up a great deal better than many.
What happens now is very dependent on the same, and it might be poor for a while,conversely it could change positively very quickly.
I honestly am unsure of direction at present and don't like to call gold over yet.

these red days are doing my head in. Can't really complain considering how well this share has done over the past few months but who likes bleeding profits, even if they are paper... confident gonna be all worth it at the end though

I was wondering if Newcrest had discouraged the blow by blow accounts of progress, so glad to see the RNS, though main thing I note is hole 18 is now down at about the deepest we had in the past and so is now moving a km deeper than has been investigated before which could contain mighty grades or nothing. Terra incognita.

I think that rns is just to keep the faithful happy, a reminder that the deeper they go the better the quality of the ore becomes. They have to hang on to something so that they have a fresh and compelling story to tell the Toronto market whenever they list there. So perhaps that's why there is yet to be a resource statement or feasibility study?

Thanks for that, so I assume the US has a holiday on thanksgiving - should have guessed from all the garbage on the TV about Black Friday week, but thought it was next week. Copper continues to surge. So I had a look at the relative values from results so far. The Solgold figures for core results for copper% and copper equivalent including gold are based on $2.20/lb for gold (now $2.62, up 19%) and $1350 for gold (now $1187 - down 12%). The copper % was more than the copper equivalent %, using the old conversion factor of 0.89 to turn gold into copper equivalent, and now I think that has moved lower to 0.66, so its deffo a copper mine at these prices. The increasing copper price is clearly raising its value more than the falling gold price is lowering it. But do your own calculations - don't rely on mine!
