06/10/2016 22:15 | Maiden resource was going to be Q3 2016, but postponed after recent drill results suggested more ore nearer the surface, so I think now its Q1 2017. Think its all in the RNSs, either that or I imagined it ! | noccer
06/10/2016 13:44 | "issuing a first resource statement for Alpala" When's this due? I think that they said EOY? | cool hand kev
06/10/2016 10:19 | Until a few weeks ago, my biggest worry with Solgold was that it would be bought out long before it had time to test the other priority targets; in short, at a small fraction of its true value. But Nick Mather has cleverly played his hand, avoided a JV, and limited the free float to such an extent that a hostile bidder would be unlikely to succeed. Solgold now has both the time and money to drill at least six new targets as well as issuing a first resource statement for Alpala. Any further financing should be at a healthy multiple of the current share price and far less dilutive to shareholders. | pecker1
06/10/2016 10:16 | Wouldn't it be nice if SOLG true potential was realized. As private investors we are not privy to behnd the scenes developments but it's fairly obvious that more announcements are in the pipe line. All we can do is hang on with anticipation. | mam fach
06/10/2016 09:35 | Interesting, again | gersemi
05/10/2016 11:06 | cool hand kev, I think this one works like the 'emperors clothes' only backwards. The value has been there all along but no one wanted to believe them despite the numerous RNS's. It's only since the 'experts' in the shape of Newcrest have given them the nod, that now the gold and copper must be real. Now it's just a case of waiting, the value will out. | lefrene
05/10/2016 10:09 | Didn't they discover this in 2008 and will it take another 8 years for a resources update? | cool hand kev
05/10/2016 10:08 | This is worth shouting about. I wonder how the big Instis will respond to this?Interesting times ahead. | smoothtrader
05/10/2016 09:56 | Conclusion: The Start Of A Major New Belt Of Cu-Au Mineralization SolGold appear to have discovered a major new high-grade copper-gold camp in Ecuador. While still early days with only 17 holes drilled, geology, geophysics and soil geochemistry all point to a high possibility of discovering additional copper-gold porphyry deposits of a size and quality that may rival some of the largest known existing copper-gold systems. Current intercept grades average ~0.94% Cu and ~0.94 g/t Au over intercept widths ranging from 100 metres to 1,306 metres, averaging ~450 metres. The next 12 months will conclusively determine if the Cascabel property in Northern Ecuador is just a good, high-grade copper-gold porphyry (100 millions of tonnes) or if it is a whole new mining district containing multiple deposits (>billions of tonnes). A review of data from our site visit leads us to think the latter is a distinct possibility. Given an extensive and full funded exploration program is about to commence, there should be a steady flow of news. | mikalan

30/9/2016 13:54 | lefrene29 Sep '16 - 12:40 - 8797 of 8806 1 0 smoothtrader, me too, I have been expecting a vicious shake out at some point, but perhaps this time the company really does have the wind behind it? They seem to be making the transition from the proverbial bunch of liars stood next to a hole in the ground, to actually being able to prove an accessible resource that's worth many $ billions. One hopes that there will be a queue of global miners wanting to grab it, once the scale and richness of the site is in the bag. In the meantime buy the dips. Will do lefrene! ..and I hope you can/will join me! | nofool |
