I am not trying to give you advice, but you have to be clear of any emotion in this game, dont hang on to stock because you cant bring yourself to realise a loss, keep evaluating your portfolio and ask yourself if your capital can be better used in any other shares.

FWIW there are plenty of AIM and smaller FTSE stocks that have potential for alot of growth in a short period of time, that are less of a risk than smc.

nornek - be afraid...be very afraid!!! As paulcaine2003a points out, the noises the directors make shed zero light on the real circumstances of SMC. Their previous noises were 'allegedly' fraudulent - and as you can see, I 'un-allegedly' (sic) protecting myself in making that statement! Look at historical company releases. Says it all!

the director noises you are talking about are the same noises that they were making one week prior to the crash. These guys are flipping clueless man!!

I have been watching smc since the profit warning.
Ican tell you many reasons but i tell you these
I have no £50k to loose,it's not shot in the dark and the diroctors are making the right noices.
in my opinion it's good time to invest/topup in smc.
but please dyor.
I may be very wrong as i was with trx
