NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY/PERSONS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED

As required by Article 19 Of Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 on market abuse, Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: SMS.L) announces that it has received notification that on 20 November 2020, Alan Foy, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, transferred 4,080,608 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to Metis Investments Limited, a person closely associated with him and of which he is a Director and shareholder, at a price of GBP5.91 per Ordinary Share.

Following this transaction, Alan Foy (together with persons closely associated with him) has an interest in 5,953,201 Ordinary Shares, representing 5.27% of the issued share capital of the Company.
