June 29 is first day of trading for new shares assuming everything goes to plan.

Add. Corporate action above was proxy forms for the general meeting and court hearing on 5th May.

I have another corporate action today regarding election for the merger deadline date from my account 21st June. A 117 page document to get my teeth into. Looks like it will be completed by 28th June.

16th March announcement stated

"Vectura has received support for the Merger from:

o the Skyepharma Directors who hold Skyepharma Shares and who in aggregate hold 0.39 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of Skyepharma as at 15 March 2016 (being the last Business Day prior to the date of this announcement); and

o HBM Healthcare Investments (Cayman) Limited ("HBM"), which holds approximately 28.5 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of Skyepharma as at 15 March 2016 (being the last Business Day prior to the date of this announcement).

This in itself equates to 28.89% and is maybe what is being referred to?

Some one on VEC site saying only 30% so far have voted on deal, numbers to be in by 5 May can anyone shed some light on this if true.

The 6% VEC/SKP arbitrage opportunity I noted last week has now closed to less than 2% - not enough to justify dealing spread and costs. It possibly also implies increasing confidence that the deal will go through.

Then take over by big pharma once integration has been sorted. Say 2 years imo.

The Vectura prospectus gives June 28th as the target date for de-listing the SKP shares and trading in the new Vectura shares. This is ahead of the third quarter suggested in the initial announcement so it’s good that the companies are not wasting any time in implementing the merger. In addition, the prospectus gives the anticipated news flow for 2016. The two major items for SKP are the COPD trial and the feasibility study, the results of these shouldn’t be too far away. One major item for Vectura is the US approval or otherwise of VR315 which is due early next year and, in addition, they have two products for COPD launching in the US this year. The implementation of the merger and, hopefully, good news of these developments should give the share price a major boost. Unless something dramatic happens in the meantime, I think I will hold on to my shares for another year in the hope that the US don’t dash my hopes once again.

STT, yes my bad experience with the recent Pace merger influenced my decision to reduce a bit here as it has been very costly (so far?) holding on to that one - as you know.

GBCol, yes does seem to be coming good..I still hope for a counter cash offer but happy for the share price to continue rising on back of VEC..It's always difficult to get the timing to reduce or sell right...

Don't worry polaris, i'll just let you know when I am next selling a few. The last 3 times I've sold a few it's gone up at least 20p within hours!!

Shouldn't complain really, all sold at a healthy profit. Would be nice if I could judge my next sell a bit better though. After all the years of pain and stress, would like to maximise the return now it's all coming good.

Oh ffs! I got called out of the office this morning just after deciding that i should trade the arbitrage option on SKP after the VEc announcement, so i didn't put the order in. Too late now. That's an easy 20p just chucked down the toilet!

Spent half my life watching SKP tank must say watching them continue to rise is much more fun :-) long may it contine. I have high hopes for the combined company to which I give the thumbs up ...

This is bizarre. It looks like a straightforward 5% return is available on SKP by buying the stock, and holding until the deal goes through. Two caveats, the first is the deal doesn't go through (unlikely), and two VEC share price could slip.

That's what I am hoping Boadicea. I was going to buy in to VEC again yesterday circa 162p. But buying in to SKP today which I have done will hopefully be as good.

The share price here now logically follows that of VEC, but rather sluggishly.
Yesterday it offered a potential entry to VEC at a ~3% discount.
Today, with VEC up about 5% on milestone payment news and only a small rise in SKP the discount is over 6% ... so should see a good rise in SKP today.
