08/11/2018 18:44 | Hydrocortisone is used once-a-day and can be expected to show improvements within 3 to 7 days and then you should continue to use the cream. This does not mean people do not have to wash for the seven days. E45 as well as many other creams can relieve symptoms but does it have the science behind it to make a considerable difference . | jammyjim

08/11/2018 18:13 | It's a fair point. I'm not a skin expert but found this article somewhat intetesting. For what I can tell its all about the active ingredient penitrateing the skin. This can be difficult however amino acids and parts of proteins can effectively penetrate the skin. The lysate would fall into this category and would/should penetrate the skin. Still very interestingand valid point. st/9219-ingredients- | danatkins
08/11/2018 17:12 | Actually note that the industry standard is UP TO 12 hours for the reasons outlined above. | michaelmouse
08/11/2018 17:10 | I've just listened to the presentation from the CEO - DR Cath O'Neill which is prominently displayed on their website. I was curious to see if I'm missing something since this is a pre-revenue company with a heady valuation of around £20m. There is a BIG concern here, and it relates to yesterday's RNS. Why would anybody be interested in a moisturising effect that takes 24 hours to kick in? Here's the problem. When you apply any moisturising cream there is an assumption by the user that the effects are almost instantaneous. Therefore you apply the cream after washing your face or hands or after showering on a fairly regular basis. In 24 hours you'll have washed your hands numerous times and showered at least twice (hopefully?). You'll have reapplied the cream several times since every time you wash you've considerably diluted any effect it might have had. So what's the point in a technology that doesn't start to kick in until 24 hours later unless you only have a bath once a week say? (It'll work for you slarty ;)) Now bear that in mind and read this paragraph again from yesterday, and common sense will tell you why 12 hours is the industry standard. The moisturising effects are next to zilch in this time period, and it's the crucial time period:- "The moisturisation effect of the SkinBiotix(R) technology was tested in a 12 hour study - an industry standard test - using 21 healthy subjects. In this study, the cream containing SkinBiotix(R) was applied to an area of skin and the moisture content of the skin was measured for up to 12 hours. The moisturising effect of the cream without the technology was also measured as a control for comparison. As in-house laboratory tests have indicated that SkinBiotix(R) requires at least 24 hours to produce its effects, no difference was anticipated when compared against the control." "The cream containing SkinBiotix(R) provided good moisturisation which was generally higher than that provided by the control cream but the difference was not significant." Food for thought isn't it? | michaelmouse
08/11/2018 16:10 | The 12 hour study is industry standard and has no relevance whatsoever to SBTX technology and its effectiveness. Any partner will reformulate the cream base. The only news really is that it's passed safety and irritancy which is very good news. How they've made it look bad again is beyond me. | riskybusiness1
08/11/2018 16:10 | May be the wording was poor but Cath was quite clear that these results were important on the safety front etc and the cream passed these tests. Anyway, I am quite sure that this will all be forgotten in 6 months time when the cream has been shown to work well in the third test. | rafboy
08/11/2018 16:09 | Agree the RNS is clear just that humans like to read between lines which from from a scientific perspective is not very imperical. The RNS gave the facts | danatkins
08/11/2018 16:05 | As I said, there was a disappointing sentence, poorly worded imho "The cream containing SkinBiotix(R) provided good moisturisation which was generally higher than that provided by the control cream but the difference was not significant" | judijudi
08/11/2018 16:01 | It was spelt out in the RNS that the cream is effective after 24 hours and not 12 hours as per the test. People need to read the RNS again as there were no negatives from these results. | rafboy
08/11/2018 15:56 | I agree with luminoso The results/wording were imho slightly disappointing. Hense the drop in the SP This was the sentence from the RNS that was the weak link "The cream containing SkinBiotix(R) provided good moisturisation which was generally higher than that provided by the control cream but the difference was not significant" But its the effectiveness over longer term tials that really count | judijudi
08/11/2018 15:52 | Moisturising benefits were as good as expected for the time frame. Even better that they found no dry skin from the effects. Facts are the safety and irritant studies passed excellently.Unfortun | riskybusiness1
08/11/2018 15:50 | Not sure why folks bang on with the moisturiser element. I know not the same but I've had minor skin inventions where I've applied cream and it took on average 4 days to see a marked improvement. I don't know why they done a 12 hour test, maybe because they had an opportunity to get this done. 12 hours is really a small amount of time. | danatkins
08/11/2018 15:43 | Luminoso, it was in line with expectations. They clearly stated that the cream works after 24 hrs and not the 12 tested. The tests were about safety and the cream passed that. I think you may be trying to mislead people. Read the RNS. | rafboy
08/11/2018 15:09 | Moisturizing benefit results were disappointing quite frankly. Maybe the larger trial will improve on that. | luminoso
08/11/2018 13:28 | No interview. Dr cath may do interview once 3rd trial is announced to start. Hopefully sooner than later | danatkins

07/11/2018 17:53 | Tailormaiden. I can’t see how Costax Helped in any way by ranmping and then leaving. I hold a large quantity in both shares and have done for quite some time. Informative posts do a lot more good Than people Who try and think they can push the price up by saying £30 by the end of October. I still take note of certain peoples hard work and effort that can be shared on these sites. Thank you | jammyjim
07/11/2018 16:26 | SkinBiotix will move on the third and main element of the human study, which will involve 120 volunteers with self-assessed dry skin, to analyse the longer term moisturisation effects and impact on skin barrier function of the SkinBiotix technology. | manc10
07/11/2018 15:49 | Some folks thought easy money on these results but it's the final result that will lift the stock. May drift a little if folks get bored or results may support the share price until next news. Although only a small initial trail planned for 3rd (I think 10 people) if positive then folks may take an early position for the remainder due 2019 | danatkins

07/11/2018 15:39 | The results were in line with expectations and show it is safe to use. What more did you expect from these initial results. | rafboy |
