Martell was the architect of this cos. demise, instead of investing in its core printing division, he has used the cash flow to invest in market research and other new dangled multimedia cos, and these have now proved poor decisions, I suppose I have him to thank in one respect, acquired a subsidiary from a co. I was invested in called Hasgrove, but even that ended up a load of hassle as Hasgrove then de-listed, finally got back most of original investment but nearly left in nomansland! There is some value left here, but net debt and pension liability could leave shareholders holding the baby!

The golden goose is not laying so many golden eggs these days.......so can't rely on that for too much......maybe £4-5m per year.

The goose has been seriously underinvested in certain areas, but pumped with money for the new age digital presses.......which cost millions to buy, will only last max 5 yrs (superseded with newer tech)......and is not giving them any profit.

I've lost whatever faith I had in mgt when they bought Service Graphics, none, not ONE of the accusitions in the last 3 years have been worth the money they paid for it.

Mgt should hang their heads in shame for blowing shareholder cash in this way.

Oh......and did I mention the pension deficit? Tick.....tick...

Hate to say it Dean but your call looks correct in a way it could prove to be beneficial teaching such a level as potential future investment . Can't help thinking that expansion was too fast too soon in hindsight but fortunately they still have the golden goose of the book division which year on year makes good profits ( pity they have used this to fund diversifying the business and not consolidating their position as market leaders ) If this is sold off then good bye st Ives Regards

Dean well we voted to leave which you predicted well done ! However way off the mark on its strategic affect on this share price . Previous drop was dramatic enough I think

Well Dean....we're out but luckily no 40p price.

Surprised this hasn't dropped that far - just shows how oversold on the profit warning news this was.

There's actually a late 50k buy from 10:13 today reported at 97p which makes up most of the volume today so wtf are MMs marking this down to 85p?
tsmith2

Wtf! MMs taking the p*ss, absolute no volume and they mark it down as much as 5p in auction..
