12/4/2013 13:09 | Agreed, aviation and the military are and always have been the obvious markets for simulation, I know I have flown aircraft sims for many years!!! The reason has been cost reduction on what is a very expensive business, people are now beginning to realise that simulation is becoming a cost effective way of training in areas not previously thought viable. Its not only a pure direct cost issue, safety and the consequences of getting it wrong are becoming increasingly significant and I think Simigon have realised this perhaps earlier than others | dgwinterbottom
12/4/2013 12:38 | lol, i still think , seriously no ramp intended, that they will get into other markets, less Military, great though that one is, as CEO intimated as much in the Proactive Vid. If the software is good enough to teach one how to Fly a Multi-Million $ Plus Fighter Jet, its gotta be good enough for learner drivers etc Mass Market learning applications could be huge. | melodrama
12/4/2013 12:35 | Owenski & Melodrama: Agree with you both wholeheartedly, they must have heard us shouting about results date!!!!! | dgwinterbottom
12/4/2013 10:49 | Exactly, CEO talks sense, he likes CASH. Which they have a fair amount of. | melodrama
12/4/2013 08:57 | If they weren't a 'proper outfit', I would'nt park my cash here. | owenski
12/4/2013 08:54 | These guys are a proper outfit, you don't get multi-million contracts with the DOD by being dodgy. | melodrama
12/4/2013 08:52 | I've dealt with 'busy' businesses and they have found time to deal with a PI and in fact encouraged me to ask questions. I have a position here because the business case interests me. However, I knew from the off this wouldn't be a holding where I'd be emailing the CEO. In fairness, I don't contact all the holdings I own, but at least I have the option of attending an AGM. I wont keep a large position here as I find 'foreign' AIM's to be higher risk. Lastly, being unable to communicate easily to a company doesn't translate that its automatically a dodgy business, but its nice to deal with a company that demonstrates it knows that it is a publicly owned company. IMO | owenski
12/4/2013 08:49 | Notice of Results RNS, 22nd April, so a reply to us all ;-) | melodrama
12/4/2013 08:47 | "Yep rather they were busy being busy with the business than replying to pestering PIs , i include myself as an annoying perstering PI " Melodrama, fair comment there but I would have thought that the only shareholders that pester them are the really keen ones like you and me and I would have thought the numbers were not that great! In that case courtesy & politeness becomes an issue in my mind | dgwinterbottom
11/4/2013 18:50 | Yep rather they were busy being busy with the business than replying to pestering PIs , i include myself as an annoying perstering PI ;-) | melodrama
11/4/2013 15:27 | Ditto re responses and in fact I hold another Israeli (nothing against Israelis my brother married one) stock , TCM, and they're the same on communication. Annoying, seem to do the business though. | paleje
08/4/2013 08:28 | Melodrama - I have emailed them in the past at the "info@" website as I have with many other companies and got zero response, so a few months ago I emailed the Chief Exec via the sales website and that worked a treat as it gave me a response from the Chief Execs email address!!! However I emailed last week to request the date of results announcement......an | dgwinterbottom
07/4/2013 17:23 | No response could also mean they have no regard for investors, most companies I'm involved with have the courtesy to acknowledge their private investor base. Hope it isn't Israeli arrogance as the business itself looks promising. | owenski
07/4/2013 12:43 | I emailed them last week, no response yet. To be frank, doesn't bother me, as the "no response" always indicates extreme busyness. | melodrama
27/3/2013 08:04 | Correct, I was just wondering if anyone had a positive date! | dgwinterbottom
25/3/2013 11:46 | It was in april last year. | wjccghcc
25/3/2013 08:20 | Any idea when results will be announced? | dgwinterbottom
18/3/2013 19:30 | Hey peeps, off to Mexico tomorrow, look after her for me, looks like a 250k buy at 19, late trade, looks like nice work by the MMs, don't think that is an ADVFN PI, unless they have made money on a job lot of Cat Food ;-) Nice vote of conf. | melodrama
01/3/2013 22:27 | US sequestration looks to affect military spend with a cut back on airforce flying time including training. One can see the attraction of simulation training. | owenski
21/2/2013 14:27 | Maybe i'm reading too much into the interview, but the mention of Google seems "placed" to me lol that would be funny!! | melodrama
21/2/2013 14:26 | and Avi implied other markets in a recent interview, i.e learning to drive software on Ipads or some such, was a Proactive Vid, link is a month or two ago on this thread | melodrama
21/2/2013 14:23 | Nice news on a bad day, these guys seem to be under the radar, if they get a break into mining engineering on top of what they've already got going...better keep the thread quiet methinks. | paleje
21/2/2013 12:14 | they can't spell either, but who gives a sh*t, people seem to like their software! | melodrama
21/2/2013 11:25 | they dont say much but what they do say tends to be good | juju44
21/2/2013 09:36 | This out earlier FYI, would buy more but fully loaded already! ("URS") a leading provider of military training, engineering, construction and technical services, to provide a complete simulation training solution (hardware, software and connectivity tools) as a prime contractor. It is expected that SimiGon, and URS, will submit a bid in 2013 to become a prime contractor for the U.S. Army Construction Equipment Virtual Trainers ("CEVT") programme valued at an estimated $30 million. The integrated team will benefit from the wide experience within URS alongside SimiGon's advance technology. If selected, SimiGon will receive revenues for the provision of all of the simulation and training technologies for several hundred systems, while URS will provide the Integrated Digital Environment, Subject Matter Experts and other important services. The CEVT programme provides cost-effective training in a virtual environment. This allows personnel with little or no experience in operating construction equipment to have the opportunity to learn in a safe environment. As the programme progresses, training will move from simple control location and functions, to complex tasks and tactics employed in operating the construction equipment. URS has trained over 20,000 U.S. Army aviators and has recently been awarded another contract to provide the Rotary Wing Flight Training at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence ("USAACE") in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Ami Vizer, Chief Executive Officer of SimiGon, said: "Our stated strategy is to move up the scale and be a prime contractor and successfully deliver large simulation training programs such as CEVT. Expanding the SimiGon offer by adding the expertise within URS will enhance our ability to do this. With our established position as the preferred supplier of simulation solutions for the world's largest military flight trainingprogrammes, alongside URS, a world renowned name and proven operator in the industry, we feel we can provide a unique all-around offer to the U.S. Army." -Ends- Enquiries: SimiGon Ltd Ami Vizer, Chief Executive Officer +1 (407) 951 5548 Efi Manea, Chief Financial Officer finnCap (NOMAD & Broker) Stuart Andrews / Henrik Persson +44 (0) 20 7220 0500 Luther Pendragon (Media & Investor Relations) Harry Chathli, Alexis Gore +44 (0) 207 618 9100 Notes to Editor About SimiGon SIMbox is an advanced, PC-based, distributed simulation and training technology platform used in the defense industry's largest training programs.
