SCi SIGNS RONNIE BIGGS SCi Entertainment Group plc today announces the signing of an exclusive agreement with Ronnie Biggs and Bruce Reynolds whereby SCi will develop and publish computer and video games based on 'The Great Train Robbery' and Ronnie Biggs action packed life following the robbery. Biggs and Reynolds achieved world-wide notoriety in 1963 when they, together with a group of 16, kidnapped a Royal Mail Train and disappeared with, #2.6m (the equivalent of approximately #50m today). Reynolds, famous for having masterminded the robbery, and Biggs for having escaped capture for over 36 years were on Britain's 'most wanted list' for many years. This was, unquestionably, the most outrageous heist in British history. Ronnie Biggs' life since that day represents the ultimate action adventure. Having escaped over the wall of Wandsworth Prison, he travelled from London to Paris to Australia and then on to Brazil where he has defied all attempts of extradition in spite of having been kidnapped in an attempt to bring him back to Britain. Reynolds and Biggs have participated as design consultants on the video game project. The games will take approximately 18 months to develop and will be launched during the run up to the fortieth anniversary of The Great Train Robbery. In the game the player will be able to play either the detectives searching for the robbers, or the 'crim' himself Ronnie Biggs.
