Many months ago they said that the have identified a superior investment than Barclays and that was why they exited Barclays. It looks like they are very slow to build a greater than 3% percent of this superior investment. Very strange. Not sure if they are very cautious this time or very incompetent. Either way the shareholder deserves some update about the progress or the lack of it.

It wouldn't take much for the management here to start issuing a monthly NAV to the market and us shareholders again. Very poor governance.

Yes . clearly some people are getting fed up waiting and have sold out, hence the drop of the last few days

Thanks Danny, I read the article I think you refer to in the business section. Mainly a report of the RNS but with a human angle thrown in of the 71 year old active investor. Unfortunately no great insights and certainly no hint of what the new target might be or even the sector or size of the company

Get todays Times, apparently a good article on Sherborne Investors. Haven't read it myself, will try to buy one later if not too late

Pleased to see in todays announcement that NAV has actually increased since the Barclays sale to c. 81p. So whatever they are buying into this will be a vehicle to hold it at an initial discount of 33%

Its just over three months now since they advised the new target had been identified. Disclosure of it would be made once a reportable stake had been bought. So I presume they are still below the 3% threshold and I'm wondering if the price moved beyond what they wanted before they could get in. I really expected a follow on announcement within a few days
