18/3/2020 10:38 | fjg 462, the possibility that SA and Russia will be persuaded by third parties to come to an agreement on supply reductions is the only reason that I'm still invested here. SA and Russia would still be facing-off to each other without outside intervention, so potentially good news re. Iraq. It's quite obviously in the interests of both nations to back-off, as they'll both be suffering from the low oil price. As an aside, Iran must really be hurting, no wonder they're making warm, or maybe lukewarm, noises like giving Nazanin Ratcliffe temporary release from prison. So, yes, worth holding some. | poikka

18/3/2020 10:30 | Trader 365, I don’t expect any possible comparison between those risky loan banks from past and a well capitalised company with strong pedigree and balance sheet of Shell. We have been in this zone on oil price before and come out other side leaner and meaner so nothing new to this company. Shell is a world class investment and will be a future WC energy systems provider. If you don’t get in at these prices I can be sure in 2 yrs your kicking yourself big time | tornado12

18/3/2020 09:55 | It seems to me over the past 5 years that the United States has not been playing it fair, while the Saudis have reduced production by 2mln barrels per day and Russia by 600K over the same period of time the United States has increased their oil production by 4mln barrels per day. | loganair
18/3/2020 09:30 | Fedex can be as busy as they like, it the oil price causing this to drop. Crude now back at 2003 prices RDSB will be 500p if oil falls to $20 | trader365
18/3/2020 09:08 | It looks like Asian demand is already getting back to normal, according to FedEx. --------- While the uncertainty is shutting down daily life in much of the world, FedEx is beginning to see a cargo rebound in China, where the outbreak originated. About 95% of large manufacturers have returned to operations there, FedEx said, and last week the courier made about as many flights as normal to and from the country. ... “The demand we’re seeing out of Asia right now is quite robust,” Chief Operating Officer Raj Subramaniam said on a conference call with analysts to discuss the company’s fiscal third-quarter results. “Manufacturing capacity is coming back online.” From: | fjgooner
