Dunkin’ and Shell expand savings partnership in US
Share

Dunkin’ and fuel network Shell Oil Company have agreed to expand their partnership within the US to offer new savings to consumers.

The move launches the ‘Sip Dunkin’, Save at Shell’ partnership expanding the fuel rewards programme nationally.

It will enable fuel rewards members with Gold Status and DD Perks Rewards Program members save $0.10 per gallon with each fuel refill by purchasing five beverages at a Dunkin’ location.

It also includes a saving of $0.25 per gallon through a bonus one-time linking offer available until 30 April 2020.

The scheme is expected to run throughout the year.

Shell Oil Products US loyalty manager and North America CRM Todd Gulbransen said: “Shell is thrilled to expand our partnership with Dunkin’ beyond a successful north-east pilot to a national offering, allowing more consumers the ability to both enjoy their favourite Dunkin’ beverages and save when filling up their vehicle.

“This national expansion has been something Shell, Dunkin’ and the fuel rewards programme have been working on collaboratively, the teams are excited to offer consumers across the country the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of both loyalty programmes.”

Established in 1950, Dunkin’ is a coffee and baked goods chain operating around 13,000 restaurants in 41 countries.

Dunkin’ Brands Strategic Partnerships director Justin Unger said: “We are excited to continue to build the great partnership between our two brands throughout 2020 with the Sip Dunkin’, Save at Shell partnership, and deliver significant new rewards that fit so seamlessly into our on-the-go customers’ daily routines.”

In November last year, Dunkin’ signed agreements with Manchester Enterprises to develop 18 new restaurants throughout Houston in Texas, US.

If the 2% death rate was true then him dying was 50 to 1 unless your multiple strain idea holds. That has to be unlikely.

Those much larger figures supposedly only quickly shown on Tencent worry me.

Never had a flu shot in my life.
Rather give hospitals/GPs a miss at the moment as well..

Monty, thought the same. It may be something to do with repeated exposure
to the virus and if there is mutation at this point, he may have been
exposed to multiple strains. The very low rates outside of China may also
indicate it loses some strength on travelling. Hopefully that's the case.

It was worrying that the 34 year old Chinese doctor who raised the alarm, died, so not just the elderly.

Shell pushes to power with plans for first big solar plant
Feb. 7, 2020 7:38 AM ET|About: Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS.A)|By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor

Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A, RDS.B) says it plans to build its first utility-scale solar farm, in Australia's Queensland state, part of its global push into power generation.

The 400K-panel, 120 MW solar farm will indirectly supply the company's QGC liquefied natural gas export facility, reducing that project's carbon footprint; work on the project is set to finish in 2021.

The move follows Shell's acquisition last year of Australian industrial electricity retailer ERM Power and a stake in Australian solar developer ESCO Pacific.

Indeed, should be a lot clearer in a week's time whether this will be confined
to sparodic outbreaks outside of China, or something more serious.

I have asthma and paid for a pnumomia shot earlier this week,
it's been 15 years since my last one.

Could this also be a solution to the climate emergency?

Andy Dawson 7 Feb 2020 10:51AM

Actually, Ambrose, the maths points the opposite way - and I'd have though a finance guru could do some basic "rate of increase" calculations. Here's a log plot of cases and fatalities to date.

Robert Ballard 7 Feb 2020 10:54AMCould this also be a solution to the climate emergency? Andy Dawson 7 Feb 2020 10:51AMActually, Ambrose, the maths points the opposite way - and I'd have though a finance guru could do some basic "rate of increase" calculations.  Here's a log plot of cases and fatalities to date.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019–20_Wuhan_coronavirus_outbreak#/media/File:Semi-log_plot_daily_incidence_of_nCoV.pngNow, if you look at that, the first thing you'll see is that it's NOT an exponential increase - in fact, the rate of increase is falling.  If it were increasing uncontrolled - i.e. exponentially, the plot would be curving upwards rather than levelling offDig into the numbers, and you'll see the log rate of increase in the week 16/1/2020 to 20/1/2020 was 1.761 (i.e. for that week, there were 46 new cases at the start of the week, and at the end 850 - meaning each case created 1.76 new cases - what an epidemiologist would call Rx)Over the following week (20/1 to 27/1)  each case led to 1.35 new cases.  From 27/1 to 4/2 it was 1.14 cases. In January, the initial estimate of Rx from UK epidemiologists was around 2.5.If you extrapolate that rate of fall in transmission, we're probably at or near the peak of the outbreak, and we're on course for a total of 50-60,000 cases and 700-1000 fatalities.Tell you what, though - if this article is predicated on your understanding of CAGR and compounded interest, I'm damned if I'd let you near managing my pension fund...

V Jones 7 Feb 2020 11:31AMI don't believe the figures, China would not shut down production unless they were far higher, this is a serious epidemic.  Caused by zero food hygiene standards and to many people crowded into cities. Maybe nature is fighting back.

Hello EI,to be honest I am looking at the long term charts here. I will start buying a few days after xd. It is my opinion the shares are oversold at the moment. will hold the shares for the dividend and wait for them to get near to top of range on long term chart and sell. Nice little opportunity here imo given the big fall. I had shell a few years ago when they plummeted. Bought in tranches and sold near highs. Important to llo at long term chart for shell I think!

If this goes on Coronavirus and oil does not improve above $58 and then stays there, I see 1775p after ex div. If it goes on even longer and demand waivers even more, I see back to 2017 level of 1475p. Of course only my view.
