Pure speculation...but with the recent new large debt facility...and now the CEO leaving..and the timing of the corporate update next Monday...just wondering whether a new "deal" has perhaps been done and dusted, all bar the shouting...
Doubt this resignation would be announced in the middle of any possible negotiations...?

Ithica energy would make a great merger for Serica, imho. Over 70k bopd currently has no CEO and some really interesting new oil fields.


That's my take. So much so that I have a stake in both companies. Though a much larger one here.


There will be a lot more consolidation in this sector Over the next year imo. Could well be profitable.

I don't stress trying to catch the absolute bottom of a trend (though I appreciate 205 to 207 would be a no brainier). I'm happy just to trade between levels and maybe get 80/90% of any potential return.

For a trade, it might have been better perhaps to wait slightly longer given the current charts in Brent and natgass?
