So been in with a position here for a while. With the opportunity as it is, consistent result, increasing gold prices, expansion opportunities and a very modest P/E ratio the price still seems low. Any ideas what the main drag on share price is? Is it the uncertainty around funding/ potential dillution, is it doubts over the resource levels, is it Mike's 100k producer talk and the reality being slower and more gradual? Interested in peoples thoughts on what may be holding this back and therefore, when we might see any re-rating.

Similar perspectives and intent here. I actually have 50% currently invested in Goldies - SRB and ALTN are neck and neck tops. .Most of the rest are intended to be "COVID secure" - where have I heard that strapline before? And do I believe it! steelguy

'In Rio de Janeiro the legislative assembly voted to open impeachment proceedings against the governor, Wilson Witzel, for alleged corruption. In the northern state of Pará, federal police raided offices and the home of the governor, Helder Barbalho.'

It's pretty clear that this company is the best place to put some money. Normally I'd not suggest more than 5% of portfolio however whilst blue chips are unlikely to give dividends I believe more is acceptable.

Yes, there is a useful summary through Bloomberg on latest US rates outlook:.hTTps://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-10/fed-puts-floor-under-bond-buying-sees-zero-rates-through-2022?srnd=premium-europe.GDXJ Junior Gold Miners ETF rose 5.2% in a single session. Probably associated is SBI (Toronto) advance movement? SBI seems very illiquid though, Sherry..I have just started reading a book "Why Gold, Why Now" written very recently in just 23 days. Very topical!.Good luck all! tightfist

Good spot Boris. Very slim volume drove it there however with the FED effectively capping rates through 2022 gold should now perform for the next two years (at least).

Think this is a good place to leave cash parked tbh.

The ever popular $10,000 US oz. prediction we've been hearing since 2008 run up in Au. Every analysts throws that out there with no deadline or drivers behind it. My son won't see $10,000 US oz. in his life time.

The $10,000 Au oz. prediction typically marks the top. Desperation play in unloading their positions. KWN commentaries are quoting $10,000 US oz.

The FED put is in play. Zero interest loans are enabling companies to continue buy back of shares. The global economy was suppose to gradually head into a recession this year. All the signs pointed to it last year. the 2019 Trump put has been replaced by the FED put and zero interest loans. Gold should have surpassed $2000 US given the hell we're going through.

The US$ and other currencies aren't worth the paper they are printed on because they won't stop the press. Golds gunna go to US$10,000 ounce soon. Bit of a cyclical issue there.

Hi, IIRC, SRB took ownership and re-started Palito mine in 2014 and expanded with their new start-up at Sao Chico in 2016. I would estimate the third mine at Coringa could still be as much two years away, due to COVID knock-on impact. .In the meantime there are likely growth opportunities within the current mines, as well as longer-term hot exploration potential..Cheers, tightfist

As a ISA-able gold producer this stock will be worth it's weight in gold once it starts producing.

Hi PPVN,.Unimaginable things happened shortly after we met at the SRB GM on 26th Feb. Interesting reflections in retrospect on the impact of last Summer's acute SRB overhang (DB and Anker) off-loading - never did understand the Anker moves. Reminded me to keep an watchful eye open for overhangs..... and their upside potential!.SRB seems to be in a holding/boredom/patience pattern until the next news - whatever that may be. At least any unwelcome COVID news should be shorter-term, whilst the more eagerly awaited news all has longer-term impact IMO. And the longer this goes on, the more cash we generate and the less CLN's we need to issue......Just a shame that the travel ban prevents the Majors flocking-in.......Take care, tightfist

Hi PPVN,.Yes, all we need is patience with SRB..OT: Thanks for your feedback 7d ago re: ALTN. As for chugging along, today it has donned some running spikes! Fast-forward a couple of years and will SRB or ALTN be in the lead? It may be temporary, but for me ALTN nosed ahead of SRB at 08:00 this morning......Cheers, tightfist

No hurry for me as I'm still buying to be honest. At some point these are going to surprise to the upside; it seems crazy to me they are still where they are.

100% agree. Coringa an almost dead cert doubles, the exploration looks a different league......x2, 3, 5, 10...... who knows, maybe everyone will have a better idea by Q4 or Q1 2021. Could be too late then under 200p.

I got some more of these at 81.35p this am. At sub £50m market cap these are an absolute no brainer by almost every measure. Figure I'm buying Sao Chico and Palito ops and Coringa and the exploration side (my personal favourite) come free.
