BJH - Given the tropical Amazon rain forest is in Brazil, I would suspect malaria is indigenous to the area and perhaps the rest of the country given the transmission. Even the Palitao mill is in the jungle. So, I suspect a large portion of the Brazil populace is taking hydroy-chloroquine or chloroquine phosphate. The only thing I canèt account for is the availability of the Z-pak.

This would be something to ask MH about.

Looks like people know something with these trades. Brazil infections increase very low. Should rocket back to 70-80p soon.

Thanks - it's grim on the ground here. Old folk like me are in total isolation and lock down. Can't see grand kids or anyone.

To my UK friends - My heart felt payers and deepest thoughts go out to Prime Minister Johnson. President Trump spoke highly of Johnson in his White House press conference. He sent some USA pharmaémedical professionals to England.

I wish Boris a speedy recovery.

Sherry in the colonies.

Intraday POG is closing on $1670. Will it get clubbed by the cartel?

Don't worry. It's all fine and dandy. Much better deal and positive update coming. Look at the bigger picture.

Last year's Q1 results were RNS'd on 15th April - maybe we will get an operational update around that date this year? And hopefully an update on fund-raising too......

The thing about the figures is to try and differentiate between those dying OF the virus and those dying WITH the virus.

Eddie Large, the comedian widely reported of dying of the virus but he had severe heart condition and actually died with the virus.

However, I would be sceptical of the figures coming out of Brazil.

Abit off topic - sorry

Brazil as of end of 3 April - Confirmed: 9,216 - Deaths: 365

Italy say the actual number of deaths from Coronavirus is most probably double what is officially being reported, therefore I can easily see for a country like Brazil times every thing by at least 4.

In my country 15% of the population has been tested, with 10% of these 15% or 1.5% of the population have the Coronavirus. If this was to be extrapolated to the UK, would give the UK around 1.2 mln cases of Coronavirus.

So Brazil population is roughly triple the UK but CV incidence significantly lower - yes they are behind the curve but surely their multi international travellers and indeed tourists to the country are on a pretty small scale compared to the Far East and Europe where cross border and cross continent business and tourism was massive - just look at that one chap early in pandemic who I think had been to China, Hong Kong Singapore and then called into Switzerland to ski before returning to the uk and visiting London and Brighton and didn’t even know he had it. If I am correct the final impact of CV in terms of totals and deaths will surely be much lower per capita for Brazil and also allow a return to ‘normal’ much quicker. Just my thoughts and not based on any known facts or knowledge.

Just like any other country then. Brazil have, as of, April 2: 7,910 confirmed cases, 299 deaths. Not saying things aren't going to get much worse, but, to add perspective, Brazil has a population of circa 210 million. So nothing is obvious, far from it. Death rate currently 0.00014% of population.

I suspect the weakness in the Brazilian currency has a lot to do with not just the president's slow response to fighting coronavirus , but its likely cost to Brazil .

According to the useful link below , he has now belatedly started to smell the coffee , as cases and deaths surge with borders now closed , Sao Paulo in quarantine and economic measures in place to allow companies to temporarily lay off workers . Para State , where Serabi operates , is an awfully long way from Rio or Sao Paulo , but the threat to supply chains is obvious .

If I was in Serabi's shoes I would have taken out all loans in local BRLs and not USD.

85% of Serabi's expenditure is in local BRLs and over the past year the price of gold in BRLs has risen by 75%.

It's gone very quiet here! All we need is a re-dated 23rd December RNS - and MH/CL would have three months of leeway for negotiations. It would cost SRB just $300k.....tightfist

Regarding share dealings I don't recall any for a long, long time. I quickly looked back and the last I can see was on 16th May 2018 when Fratelli got diluted by the Greenstone placing..I guess the AR is best place to look for Option award/accumulation and if there is annual award process..Cheers, tightfist

tightfist - there has been no BOD/executive insider filings detected on this side of the pond for the past 3 months. Where do I look to review insider filings made be SRB directors and officers?

I noticed MND.TSX insiders filed for Share Rights and Options. I'm wondering if the SRB folks will do the same once the blackout is lifted.
