30/9/2016 10:03 | It all adds up. No matter how big or small. | apfindley
30/9/2016 09:52 | I know they're expensive but my point was on the relative scale of the latest 2 contracts compared to annual volumes. | 1gw
30/9/2016 09:40 | Don't look at it all as cheap radios. They're not. You're not going to walk into argos and buy one for a tenner. These are expensive bits of kit, not only that, they come as part of a system which needs Installing with other more expensive hardware. As an example,Back in the early 90's, i worked in a well known heavy industry in the UK. We had Installed a radio network for communications within the plant. I was party to a lot of the costings as it partly came from my budget, along with other departments onsite.)The contract at the time was for around 300 sitewide radios, 40 of which were billable to me.So considering those 40 only.. Along with the walkietalkies, came chargers (single and bank), high gain relay antennas, a Computerised control system, about a dozen ground based (fixed) communication boxes linked to the system. Anyway you get the idea, it's not just hand radios. These were by today's standards probably fairly primitive, but nevertheless highly robust and of a quality you cannot buy in the shops. My bill at that time was 350 grand.(for my 40 out of 300 installation). So on a par basis, the whole sitewide thing would've been about £2.5millThat was 1990's prices. My point is, vital radio comms within industry and Infrastructure come at a price. They are not just radios... That's worth bearing in mind when you look at these contracts... | apfindley
30/9/2016 09:11 | These recent contracts need to be kept in perspective. 1000 radios to Jordan and 3200 to Sao Paolo is doubtless good business but does not amount to much compared to the 250,000 radios they shipped last financial year (68,000 just to Germany). It would be nice to get news of a big contract that would be worthy of an rns. | 1gw
30/9/2016 08:38 | Lots of contracts coming inNot as rns, but on the company website.Go check it out I think the company is in a much stronger position than they're letting on. Possibly letting certain people accumulate cheap shares before releasing good news to let it fly again. | apfindley
30/9/2016 08:36 | In continued talks with bankers. That's a precarious position the company has arrived at. | larva
30/9/2016 08:21 | I think garking's T days are over.. | tsmith2
30/9/2016 07:59 | The important thing is that the company is announcing contracts.. | tsmith2
30/9/2016 07:55 | Last time they only put out a statement after the share price moved a lot:Further to the recent share price movement, Sepura confirms that it had received a very preliminary approach from a third party which has since confirmed that it does not intend to submit any proposal. | scapital
30/9/2016 07:33 | Company would put out statement? | tsmith2
30/9/2016 07:32 | He's full of sh.. | muffster

29/9/2016 16:02 | Jordan’s Special Communication Commission places trust in Sepura Cambridge, 29th September 2016 - Sepura has been awarded a prestigious contract to supply over 1000 radios to the Special Communication Commission (SCC) in Jordan. The radios - a combination of STP9000 hand-portables and SRG3900 mobile radios - will be used by Jordanian security agencies that operate on the SCC network. The STP9000 has long been the choice of public safety users due to its enhanced battery life, superb full-duplex audio and rugged, IP67-certified casing. The SRG3900 offers an outstanding 10 Watts RF power - the greatest operational range among TETRA terminals on the market today. "This win reinforces our long-term cooperation with SCC," said Karl Whyte, Sepura's Sales Director for the Middle East. "The contract demonstrates SCC's satisfaction, as well as their trust in our product, our excellent support and our partner of many years in Jordan, Vision Engineering. We look forward to many more years of successful cooperation with them." | recovery1

29/9/2016 15:41 | and possibly a reverse take over.. Sepura has a good name ;) | recovery1
29/9/2016 15:40 | Apfindley..I think you may be on to something there.. for sure a take over is on the cards. Even sepura's broker are touting it very openly!! strange that last time there was a denial RNS...and now there is nothing. Watch this space..GL | recovery1
29/9/2016 12:04 | In the far east, a big player is Simoco They have many Indonesian and Chinese contracts for Tetra. Are Simoco big enough to bid for Sepura and get a good foothold in Europe and North America? | apfindley
29/9/2016 11:39 | reminds of st Ives.. | tsmith2
29/9/2016 11:39 | This reminds me of that I did very well from Taylor Wimpey.. Waited for it to settle for a week or so then I piled in big and i still hold. 2009 off the top of my head. | sidjameslaugh
29/9/2016 11:18 | Exactly. It's has too many good contracts to end up badly. It will recover, and show signs soon, or it will be bought by another major player in the mobile (hardware) sector, with a focus on tetra. Motorola has been mentioned already, so I think either them or a very similar type of company would do very well from this addition. | apfindley |
